Go Dawgs!
Welcome Buster Faulkner was created by yankeedawg1
Kirby has added ..... Buster Faulkner to the offense coaching staff...
To work with the QB’s..... his expertise.... development of passing QB’s...
Much much more to follow..... what we are seeing is a mission driven HC.....
Me thinks the light has come on.... cautious optimism....remains....

I don’t believe that HC has made these changes as a knee jerk
Reaction....just like I don’t believe that Coach Sam’s departure
Wasn’t discussed way before it happened...same for Jake’s decision.
Coach has a single goal. In mind.....winning...doesn’t matter if
It’s a game of Horse....or playing for a Natty and winning...
HC wants to go to Tuscaloosa and win....
Coach has plans..... Go Dawgs

For days, I've been wanting to join in on the various topics..... I'm still trying to process this past year, the deficiencies, and who were the primary culprits.
Oh well, that's in the review mirror....but there's no reason why we can't learn a lot from it, and move forward.
I've always thought that you learn more from your failures than from your successes...…if you're really wanting to improve, the inefficiencies are where you direct your focus.
Take what talent you have.....what Can they do......and, what can they Not do...?
Talent is a nebulously quantitative term. Even with proficient/effective evaluation, it's all subjective. The hardest things to properly evaluate are mental discipline, commitment to task, and desire to excel, all based upon the level of competition,....otherwise, you're relying on physical measurables - ie: Look like Tarzan, but may Play like Jane.
If you're making a diametrically opposite shift....
You have to hire coaches who are proficient at the process, target players who fit that scheme, and wholly commit to that ideology.
I sure hope we're there...completely...Cant be half-assed.
There's so much more to say, but...…
Go Dawgs !

Does not get much "simpler" than your statement above SimpleDawg.
Maybe for too long we were trying to convince ourselves that we were so talented in Athens that we were ready for all comers . . . . regardless of scheme(s). There have been many formation changes in x number of years, appears now that has regained space on the playing field. Once upon a time it was high schools running new and different formations, moved to the college ranks, now seems to be taking a serious foothold in the NFL. Usually comes down to decisions made such as half time adjustments that take on a winning finale. Quarterbacks today have widened the playing field, or so it seems.
Good read SD.
