G-DAY GAME . . . . Thoughts ?????

Nothing like a football game with the contestants dressed in Red and Black and playing in Sanford Stadium.

Will be interesting to post and read comments about the G-Day Game today. Get to see some action that has been limited for "outsiders" both media and FANS to watch for any length of time. Most of us have been around long enough to know that we are not going to see an "all out game", should however give us some insight to "talent and depth" for the 2019 Season.

Little doubt that there will be loud pad noise. Teammates and friends for the most part. However, eyes belonging to the coaches will be focused on certain plays and players throughout the "scrimmage", forming thoughts about "positions" when Fall Practice starts. FANS in Sanford will bring a little bit extra out of the players. While a lot of this is for the FANS, this is probably the most serious scrimmage of the Spring practices. So much has changed with Georgia Football Coaching Habits in a short amount of time.

Will be interested also to see what Stetson Bennett looks like, as the depth at QB concerns me greatly. Fromm has been Iron Man so far, but that can all change on a dime as we know. You can bet Bennett is going to put into some games this year, especially with all the chatter that Fromm declares after this season. I'm not sold on that by the way, but it's obviously possible.

Know it was a game of tag, but I like what I saw Stetson Bennett do in the game. Glad he returned to Athens.

Watched some of the G-Day game again. With an offensive line that is as deep and as good as ours . . . . Quarterback that knows the play book and has some athletic gifts, does not have to be "all that" for Georgia to have an outstanding offensive year. At this point I am convinced and understand why Kirby Smart was glad to have Bennett return. Believe our backup qb will be Stetson Bennett. Stetson has talent.
