Keith made Dreamland Barbecue famous.....each year when the Iron Bowl game was played

In Birmingham at Legion Field... Dreamland would bring Keith and his crew ribs from their

Tuscaloosa restaurant... he would lower a basket on a rope from the broadcast booth .... haul it up

Munch on ribs during commercial breaks....telling all the viewer on ABC how great they were..

Memories from my days living in Hueytown,AL....

Whoa....Nellie....... RIP

Go Dawgs!

Subject has at times been discussed on this board. Some have said that they were not around when some of the history being made was appreciated and chirped about by the older folks. True that. It has also been said that some of the older folks hope to see our football team make some strides that the younger members will pass along when Father Time takes a foothold, and that will happen for many.

The last comment or two made by Keith Jackson on the video below is so truthful. I can almost take what I am going to say to the bank in 2018. Will not be long after Spring and Fall camps that the media will stir the pot at the quarterback position. Bet this . . . . Kirby Smart is not in the mood for some of the "trash talk" that will be pushed toward the "unknowing" and by the "supposed knowing". More can and will be said on that subject for sure when they start searching for "clicks".

Want to pass this along. Thanks to Wartdawg for the comments he made a short time back concerning "old folks" on this board. We served our time, now we can relive through the younger folks what and how we were "back in the day".

Go Dawgs, Coach'em Up :)

“The field is for the players and coaches... it is not
to be used by some fat footed announcer to make a name for himself.”

...paraphrased

Won’t ever forget many of his calls... back when every game was an event.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Keith Jackson had a lot to do with the resurgance of Southern Football. He particularly liked the "little boys from the South" kicking Michigan's butt . . . . in the "Big House". Feel fortunate that we had Jackson and Munson to be in the "booth" when football was being played. Tapes of the past prove that remark to be the truth.
