Point well taken, and I'm obviously not a defensive genius, but how many places in that chain of horror could the entire series have gone (EASILY) in a different direction? My overriding point remains that they did not score even ONCE because of Kerryon Johnson grinding out a long, sustained "my-strength-is-better-than-your-strength" drive.

Edit: In fact, not even ONE of their TDs was the result of a "long, sustained drive" at all.

Good teams capitalize on mistakes. Take nothing away from Abuurn, they are a good team. Agree we don't make stooopid mistakes different ballgame. We win in the ATL this time around

Oh no disagreement at all. In fact, I second your motion, sir.

That play was just another of the "you didn't beat us on strength"... we just screwed the pooch by not having our heads in the game.

I agree with your assessment completely.

The only place where manhandled us was when we were on offense, and were setting them up to do it with inane and incredibly predictable play calling.

And THAT RIGHT THERE ^^^^^^^^^^^ FOLKS is why we have at least a CHANCE this weekend. I previously believed we had no chance because . . .

(dark confession time here)

I didn't watch the game the first time through. Nor did I really pay much attention to any of the replays. And in fact, my intention in watching it this last time was to verify my OBVIOUSLY MISTAKEN BELIEF that Kerryon Johnson and that POWERFUL Abuurn offensive line gave us ZERO chance of winning this game.

In my weak defense though . . . I was just following along with the "national expert opinions", not really having reviewed the game. Yes, Johnson had some really nifty runs, and yes he is a stud. However, "the stud" did NOT run out ANY long drives against us, nor did their OFFENSE - AT ALL!!!

Wartdawg nails it above . . . Our completely inept and PREDICTABLE play calling set us up for failure, and BONEHEADEDNESS from our clearly crowd-intimidated-team provided the straw that caved in the camel.

Boys - I'm telling you - go back and watch the PERFECTLY PREVENTABLE DISASTERS that resulted in 28 of Abuurns points - it'll actually make you feel BETTER!

I just don't see us playing THAT BAD again. Now if the OC will just figure out a little VARIETY.
