growl, the "attitude" needed to change in Athens, not telling you or any member on this board anything not already known. Be cold day in hell when Jim Harbaugh will change the way recruiting and the way the game is played in the SEC.

Easy for me to say this, respectfully. College Football in the South is a "religion", can be said many different ways, but you folks know as I do how deeply many of us feel about the Red and Black. Mention the Red and Black for this reason . . . . we were "told" year after year that we were going to be "all that".

Say again . . . . the Carney resides in South Florida. Talent rich area, never doubt that. Takes me to this . . . . UGA has been talent rich for years, at the playing level. Management failed to get their heads out of their collective butts.

McGarity, plumbing ok? Just another issue that actually continues to pp me off.

Kirby Smart was hired because those that really support UGA Football understood that we were not being listened to.

A serious mistake in my estimation would be for any of us to take our eyes off of the Athletic Director. Still believe that there are problems in that area of our program. Kirby Smart will not allow anyone to "push" him around. A needed "attitude adjustment" in that area has been fulfilled.

I can't think of anybody from this neck of the woods that( Gods Country ) I've heard say that Michigan is where I want to be, not that there is anything wrong with that.

Harbaugh was a big splash in the pan when Michigan needed someone with stones.

Holding his little gatherings in the South, what does that say to those further North about college football talent?

Harbaugh had a short run in San Francisco, ended up pretty much like the Richt time in Athens. Both relieved of their jobs, without championships on the highest level.

Kirby Smart hire, quite different. Comes off of "another NC". Came home because this is where his heart truly is. McGarity came close to losing Smart to South Carolina. Fact. Still hear some chatter about that episode.

growl, happiest I have been in a long time. Behind this head coach more than any since Wally Butts. A very long time. One exception, Erk. He was the missing link when VD wanted "others". How did that turn out? Just making a "truthful" statement.

When my wife and I built our home in Baldwin County( Milledgeville) in 1992 we noticed a really beautiful old house just up the road. As it is told by neighbors the house was moved the 11 miles from town to where it now sits and was Wally Butts the UGA coaches house. He was one of my faves also Buc.

Any southerner knows there are only two sports,
Football and talking about football.

I really appreciate Thomas Davis, Matthew Stafford, DJ Schokley, Matt Stinchcomb, Herschel Walker, Charley Trippi, Hines Ward and too many more to name, returning to support the Red and Black.

These men never forgot Athens and the support they received from the fan base.

McGarity should remember that, means a lot to the fan base, not so much the "click" hunters, the real fan base.

I believe that we got away from our past over the last several years and I believe this is one area that Head Coach Kirby Smart will embrace.

Yes it was time for a change. Genuinely believe better days in the Classic City are much closer than they have been for at least 10 years.
