Good Morning All,

Interesting week here in the Classic City…

Haul the trash out first…. The AJ transfer dust up…. And the media gas pains that followed toward our HC…..

Several posters here including myself earlier have made a point to comment that it was just a matter of time and the heads would bash CKS for doing something different than MR….

IMO that is the story… CKS made a policy change ….. he looped the AD and others into the process. He also explained his thinking as to why this was best for our football program…. Which by all measure should have been the end of it….. no M & M..ESPN…. saw red meat and clicks… It is what it is….. everything I have read seems to follow the logic of common sense……. This is about AJ now…..other players in the future…..

I was not surprised that Dawgs.com regular posters were all over this in detail calling it out for what it was….. a non-story fed by heads who don’t have a clue as to how the real world operates…. Job well done!!

I like what I see from our coaches early on in practice….. players being challenged ….. and exposed to accountability …… Hey Wart…. No excuses………

CKS…to BR…. “Show me you want it” !!!! Coach said this to BR but it goes for every position on the team….. sounds like a leadership moment…..

Young pup made a big mistake..JL will sit out first game…. Hoping he learn a lesson….. he has worked hard to lose body fat and add muscle …
Needs to play and improve….has a world of talent….

CSP is tinkering with OL….. working on depth….. a very good thing…

Chuckle of the week…. After a practice press conference … CKS is now being call the new SS….. by the media heads… when asked how the team practiced… HC …. Horrible…can’t catch… can’t throw…defense gave up big plays…. Poor blocking… good news nobody injured and we have the opportunity to get better….. same words the HBC use to draw on..

Our HC speaking his thoughts…no coach speak…. Refreshing…

NC still doing work on the side… dress out in full pads…. Damn happy to see him holding a football again….. you look at him and see determination ….. example of a mission driven goal……

Fun meter rising….. #ATD !!

Pause and give thanks… praise and rejoice….. Sunday is Easter….

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always “As always Go Dawgs” !!!

Go Dawgs!

Having given this much thought . . . .

More and more we see a parallel between the Georgia and Alabama way of “running a college football program”.

Appears to me that we (UGA) were the beneficiaries of Nick Saban's “son” . . . . close to that, returned to Athens. This is where Kirby Smart wanted to return to. Kirby thought about, even considered heavily the idea of returning as “Defensive Coordinator”.

Lightening struck . . . . in the form of College Football's Master . . . . Nick Saban. Wise words from the “Master” to the “Student” proved just how far ahead of the pack that Saban is, and will continue to be.

Kirby Smart was advised as most of us know not to take the job. Kirby Smart listened and again Saban at what could be a challenging decision made in 2015/2016 could come back to a face off between two coaches that have nothing but “kinship” to share. Saban is not afraid of down the road, Smart was cut from the same cloth.

What I see as a major benefit to our (UGA) program is this . . . . Teams can only allow x number of players on campus each year. There will be “chats” between “Master and Student” about young men that need to play in the SEC. Easy these days for Alabama to have a full compliment of very good players and some that will want to play SEC Football “somewhere”. Think that is going to be a two way street. Those that Saban cannot bring in because of numbers will be brought to the attention of Smart. Saban is the wise one, does not want some young men playing in the West Side of the SEC, too damn smart for that. Smart will return the favor, for sure.

Finally we (UGA) are off of the wine and cheese way of addressing football. That plan is now in Miami, however, see a different direction at the “U”. While they are trying to “man up”, it takes someone qualified in the “man up” area to teach that.

Red and Black fortunes improved in more ways than any of the media and “bleeding hearts” will understand. More changes to come, welcomed changes from where I sit.

Go Dawgs :)

Really liked what Matthew Stafford had to say in the paragraph below. A lot said, not really stepping too hard on anyones toes, but it is the way it is stated that . . . . says everything. All of us other than some of the "BH's" understand and appreciate.

“It was good to see Kirby. He was on the staff when I was getting recruited. He’s learned under a great coach,” Stafford said. “I am confident that, not that it was going in the wrong direction, but that we can start competing for championships. It is all about getting the best players you can get in here and winning as much as you can. The SEC is no joke. I never won the SEC when I was here, but hopefully Kirby can bring the championships from Alabama, but the players make the plays.”

Kirby Smart is proving he can and will work to get the players that make the plays. New day full of Sunshine on "Good Friday".

Go Dawgs :)

Hear that Jim Harbaugh plans to make a "big splash" in the South, I can imagine that these recruits are going to get excited about going to michigan to play, can't see CKS getting too agitated with that.

Indeed, a blessed easter wish to each and every one of ya'll here from the chilly climes of early spring in the Queen City.

It is very refreshing to not only hear what CKS is saying and the culture which is being changed here, but it's also refreshing to see how he is handling the heat. No apologies. This is the "new way" whether anyone likes it or not. Don't like it? There's other programs to like.

It's also refreshing to see the coach-speak is a thing of the past. You play badly - you get called out. You don't put in the effort - you get called out. You miss tackles - you get called out. You miss blocks - you get called out......To everyone. I remember hearing Saban tell his players after practice "if you guys aren't going to listen and you aren't going to study the plays, then dammit I will find players that will!"

In the meantime, I saw that the poor ousted coach landed on his feet in Coconut Grove.

Good to see NC back on the field getting work in. I think CKS is going to be very cautious with him in the beginning.

Good to see Staff back in Athens and his comments. I agree with Buc, he was being diplomatic in addressing the coaching subject.

Go Dawgs! Woof woof woof
