Listening to the podcast above, have a couple of thoughts. Agree with some or a lot of what was said. Also, think/know preparing material day after day is a tough thing to do.

Notice that Seth Emerson's column was mentioned. That was linked on Dawgs.com. in another thread.

Seems to me, too many of the folks that "report" UGA happenings or future happenings always seem to come back to quarterbacks, running backs. Yes there are reasons for that, gets folks attention. Clicks count.

I believe the single best hire that Kirby Smart made was Sam Pittman. Speaking about the offensive side of the ball. Don't have a problem with Jim Chaney, not one.

Comes down to this for me . . . . again. Build an offensive line that moves folks and that is the reason that Kirby Smart speaks well of Sam Pittman. Jim Chaney was at Pittsburgh last season, Kirby Smart was faced with continuing to lineup against those coached by Sam Pittman. Kirby Smart and his "great defense" had their hands full with the Sam Pittman offensive line.

One thing I do agree with that was said on the podcast and it has been discussed on Dawgs.com extensively. Eason and Fromm come from different areas of high school football and the way it is played. There is a reason that every college in the USA recruits the State of Georgia, extensively.

Bet this . . . . Arkansas running game will kick some butt in the West side of the SEC in 2016. Offensive line that Sam Pittman recruited is still there.

Single biggest mistake Georgia recruiting has made in like "forever" not doing what Coach Sam Pittman will do. Yes, said that too.

Great hire, no doubt. Kirby Smart "understands".

Damn right, Go Dawgs, fix what needs to be fixed.

yd1, keep coming back to needs, wants and moving forward.

Say this . . . . I believe that the first team out of the gate in 2016, speaking about UGA . . . . will be more than "some" of the folks in the media understand.

I go back and read basically everything talked about and printed, whether using ink on newsprint, or the internet.

Guess I need someone to explain this to me, or not . . . . Did the "bleeding hearts" get it wrong when we recruited offensive lineman the past three or four years? For damn sure "they" were on board with the Carney. Same head coach that is now doing the same thing at the "U". That will cave in also, bet that.

South Florida has as "many" or "more" high school football players that can "fill" more than one, two or three college rosters than the Atlanta area can do. It is close, but if that statement is doubted, do a "small bit of research". Remember this . . . . not talking about the entire State of Florida, only South Florida. For those that don't understand that, I say this . . . . Every year for the past 15 years we have heard how "great" we would be. Yes that goes back into the VD years. Way back. Mark Richt made a "choice". Probably the best choice he could have made. Talent galore . . . . coaching under MR . . . . he is in a weaker conference, that almost guarantees MR 9 or 10 wins. Hear this . . . . Folks in South Florida will "demand" as much as those in the State of Georgia demanded . . . . more than MR produced in fifteen (15) years.

Four (4) million dollars annual salary is not "peanuts". On top of that the added income from the "outside sources". Feel bad "bleeding hearts" about Mark Richt in Miami? He will be fine, still on the "money trail". Don't like talk such as this . . . . join in, this is an open board.

yankeedawg1, guess not much to be discussed.

See where those that are not members on Dawgs.com read regularly.

Comes a time when efforts can be spent elsewhere.

"Fall in Line" are the words that I remember back in the day. (Military, excuse me).

Got zero to do with "off season" . . . . lame excuse.

Gets exciting on all boards when we lose, and there is "always" a reason "why".

Say this one more time . . . . Best group of coaches "ever" in Athens. I believe that

Loud bunch when we lose, and every explanation as to why is there for all to read.

Said all of the above. Appears to me that "nothing" has changed in the UGA football world. Next year, we will get them.
