Remember these two young men starting their career at Georgia?
A lot of talent has come and gone in Athens.

Agree much talent has been both miss and under used
In the recent past...
Hindsight never wears glasses...what does it say
When you use a backup QB as your punter of choice?
So many other glaring examples of stoopid... Stuff.
IMO we under our former HC failed to fill positions
That would allow our talent to be even better....insert
Offensive linemen here....so glad that all that is history
Excited to watch the changes....Go Dawgs

What a concept
A coach who understands the game and will never stop learning.

yd1, returned to this post for a reason.
Once upon a time the spelling of the word "stupid" was rearranged by a member that spelled it this way . . . "stoopid".
Frankly, miss the guy. He sometimes was honest to the core, but sometimes as many of us have done, pushes a bit too hard.
WIll not pull punches, ogredawg many times said things that others would not.
ogredawg and I had differences, judgment comes into that picture. Not for any of us to decide.
No matter how right or wrong any of us are, there has to be some common ground.
I can start a fight (word fight) easily with many that are here now or have moved on.
Personally, I feel that ogredawg needs to get his "butt off of his shoulders" and return to this board. He understands football more than many. I said that.
I also stick by what the moderator of this board did. There are guidelines and the guidelines are here for a reason. This board, Dawgs.com is "fair".
There are many that get their feelings bruised here. My opinion . . . . separates this board from others.
Say again . . . . Have had my ass kicked on Dawgs.com. Also have read where some members think and post that I am privileged. To that I will add this . . . . Bull Spit.
I sincerely like that many of us are in agreement that we have a new head coach. Won't get a butt kicking for that . . . . those that understand football, UNDERSTAND. Me thinks.
It is what it is.

Buc,
Don't have much to add on top of the sage comments that have already been made to this topic. Yes, there's a new sheriff in town, and yes, we finally have a coach that is going to rebuild the culture in this program to something entirely foreign to it over the last 15 years. I will preach it over and again...culture culture culture. If this team wants to not only win, but maximize the talent that it recruits over a three-to-four year stint, then the culture has to be there in order to do it. Folks will be held accountable - all of them: players, coaches, staff, trainers, janitors - everyone. The time has come to turn this program from a place once seen as a mere grand opportunity to springboard one's placement in the NFL draft to a place that wins national championships. Let's just scrape off the BS candy-coating and say it once-and-for all: it's time to turn this program into a place where winning football games actually matters. And the man has arrived who I believe will do just that.
Now, onto your comments about Miami and the questions beginning to swirl around...
You are right, and my contacts in S. Florida tell me the very same thing. Concerns over nepotism (thanks Bobby B.) and the overall objectives of the program are starting to bubble ever so slowly in Coral Gables. U fans got a little taste of this with the Michael Irvin Jr. in-house visit where it was reported that CMR met with Irvin for two hours and they never once discussed football. That little episode left a more than a few U fans scratching their heads or other body parts.
My response was 'get used to it' because that's now "the Miami way."
So glad it ain't "the Georgia way" any longer.
