No surprise, no "ugly girls" at the party.
Comforting to know that our program finally has "direction".
Lots of chatter about those that "might" make their way to Athens, hope so.
Big deal for some/most of us is the fact that after arrival in Athens, these young men will be "coached up". I don't hesitate to say that. In the not too distant past, that was not the way young men were brought up to speed once on campus.
Kirby Smart has been around highly rated athletes for years in Tuscaloosa. Kirby will not recognize "stars" when it comes time to put eleven on the field. What a huge difference that will make. Maybe not the first season, but soon thereafter expect to hear recruits say they want to play for the Red and Black, reason being . . . . a chance at Championships.
Wartdawg, you come from a family that understands building "foundations", Kirby Smart comes from a "family" that understands building foundations. As do you averagedawg.
No more of "win the East" . . . . highest our previous head coach would allow himself to set as a goal. Reason for that, my opinion . . . . lack of confidence in what his years as a head coach exhibited.
You are spot on averagedawg. There is "talent" within this coaching staff. Always, as has been said before, many talented players have played between the Hedges.
Kicking game will be another area that Kirby Smart will be heavily involved in. Understands SEC Football.
