It's one thing to be fooled by an eloquent liar, it's another to be duped by a sturrering, stammering joke.
Watching Richt on the sideline I saw someone who doesn't have a clue.

averagedawg, the "stuff" that is going on in Athens is exactly what will prevent the hiring of a coach that was asked by Nick Saban to remain on board with him in Tuscaloosa.

McElwain turned poop into victory.

Kirby Smart could and would do the same thing in Athens.

Comes down to keeping the "Carney" in Athens.

Soon many will stop the current chatter and all we will hear is how the head coach has this great recruiting class coming in. As has been said here over and over . . . . what's new?

Talent is one thing . . . . coaching talent is quite another. I voice that from 15 years of watching someone that truly does not understand "team building".

Great to have the top notch running backs, on occasion an above average quarterback . . . . nothing happens until we have some offensive linemen that make those folks look like they are all that.

Anyone that believes the current "stuff" with our head coach will blow over, covering all bets here. Read some of the crap that is in the AJC in the past few days, and as far as Bleacher Report, absolute bottom of the barrel football knowledge.

Kirby Smart would depart Tuscaloosa and take over our program instantly if the "right folks" did the "right thing". Not too hard to figure.

Yeah, Buc, and Kirby wouldn't miss a step in recruiting.

Tried for a long time to stay away from saying this . . . .

"Fat Cats Get Fatter". Reason for saying that . . . . The head coach hired an offensive coordinator, did so on "name". That game has been going on for more years that most of us can count.

Schottenheimer's Dad was successful to a point. I can speak opening about Marty because I watched all of his stops.

Marty Schottenheimer said and it is in the video . . . . "Tell me what I am doing wrong".

Comes down to this for me. I don't want to be involved with a "love fest". Had enough of that to last me forever. This is the way the head coach operates . . . . on heart strings. What the head coach does not understand is this . . . . wins and losses. Wins against teams that play a high caliber of D1 football.

Correct that. The head coach does not have the where with all within himself to make changes that are instrumental in "team building".

This is not a time for "bleeding hearts". Bet this, it will be played on by those in charge of the "VAULT".

One small example . . . . If Nick Saban said to his "Mahogany Row" that he wants his numbers moved up from 7 million to 10 million . . . . done overnight. Why? Because Nick Saban understands "Team Building" or "Building a Team". 2015 Alabama was supposed to be "beatable" . . . . pass that along to the head coach in Athens that was a 2 or 3 point favorite in 2015.

Time for the bleeding hearts to move along, some of us understand what has and is happening in the Classic City. Bobby Bowden lost his job in Tallahassee for the same reasons that we see, have seen occurring in Athens.

Need to keep our ears close to the "situation" in Athens. Why? See what is said or not said by McGarity. Believe it or not, the "mess" is not below the head coach, it is occurring way the hell above his head. They will protect the head coach unless there is total revolt.

Time has come, no next years, in the pay line.

Nick Saban did not ask Jim McElwain to remain in Tuscaloosa. Nick Saban asked Kirby Smart to stand by his side. Nick Saban understands "Team Building".

EDIT: If you watch the video, check the offensive numbers. Marty could coach defense, not offense. Fruit does not fall far from the tree. Brian apparently has a problem with defenses, both in the NFL and now in the Classic City.

Not cutting any slack my friends. Took an awful beating in South Florida, never again.
