Wartdawg, returned home from South Florida. Opened Dawgs.com to go over the posts that so many have frankly "laid it on the line".
You said this in Post #35, has been discussed on this end for a long time by folks that do understand what putting a team in the "arena" means.
It's not just the players and it's not just the coaches. It's the entire program.
Richt has a bunch of individual pieces... no cohesive team.
We are a collection of parts that might look okay as they sit by themselves but they don't fit together as a unit.
Good coaches take a bunch of pieces and put them together in such a way that the sum total is more than the individual pieces added up.
Mark Richt does the opposite. He has somehow taken pieces that should add up to 90 and put them together so their sum total together is 48.
I know for a fact that there are a couple of young men that are seriously considering transferring. Won't call their names at this point, reason . . . . not quite sure, but trust where the information is coming from. Will say this . . . . defensive side of the ball.
Incredible that "we" (UGA) have the number of talented players on our roster and watch them sit. If they were sitting because "we" (UGA) had someone in charge that really understands college football talent, then . . . .
Watched the same thing happen with Ramik Wilson. Widely known down this way that many in Central Florida were more than a little upset with grantham. Beginning now to look closer at those "sitting" under our new hires. Just saying, or passing along what little I know.
More than likely I will blow my cork if Faton Bauta does not start our next game. If that happens, would like to have this explained to me . . . . WTF was going on with our two offensive tackles? Not blaming everyone on the offensive line, but the two "supposed leaders", could not and can not look to progress any further than playing for Mark Richt. Remembering this . . . . Richt has the final say as to who will dress out and play.
Say again, this is the "strongest site" when it comes to real football talk, especially the University of Georgia, The Red and Black, The Bulldogs, The GATA Team, Silver Britches and several other names.
Let's see if now we can separate the "Man from the Money".
Just a thought.
