I, for one, refuse to spend a couple of grand for a weekend in Athens to see us underperform and then listen to a whiny coach tell those who pay his salary some things are out of his control.
We have been taken for fools.
averagedawg, reading this pulled from the article and previous (many) posts on this board prior to what the ABH had to say.
Georgia gave Richt, now in his 15th season, an $800,000 raise and a contract extension in January after a 10-3 season. It has increased annual spending for the football program 35.7 percent and moved forward with plans for a $30 million indoor facility. Richt has helped attract a 2016 recruiting class, led by five-star quarterback Jacob Eason, that is ranked No. 8 nationally by Scout.com.
After reading the above paragraph from the ABH, goes to show that they are in the bag with the Public Relations Group. Reason for the Indoor Practice Facility . . . . SEC Network put millions of dollars in the vault. Without that money, there would be no IPF. Bet that, and a newcomer coach speaking to the need, not Richt. Fact.
All over Jacob Eason and the 2016 recruiting class, national ranking of #8 by Scout. Could be ranked #1, where the hell has that gotten our program in the past 15 years.
Another little item . . . . McGarity says he reads the emails. Mark Richt denies doing the same, has mentioned it more than one time.
Bobby Bowden, say it a lot, Richt is the duplicate copy except . . . . can't seem to win the big one. Can't seem to win the East, can't seem to develop great high school talent. Little wonder they go elsewhere.
Dr. Tommy Lawhorne and Fran Tarkenton played the game at a much higher level than most . . . . think they understand? There are others with "credentials" might post more.
