Sorry to see Russ go.
May he enjoy his golden years.
My boss, Georgia, is Russ's granddaughter and UGA VI's great granddaughter.
Seven and still going strong.

GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!

Georgia 'ahead of the game' in preparation for Florida
"ahead of game" is in quotes in the headline. maybe to indicate it is a joke or something. What is "Ahead of Game" anyway?

Usually in the bye week the players have a little time off ....work out with weights....rest a little.....film....school work etc, then start on the field preparations the next week.

So I assume they are "getting ahead" by working on UF preparations both weeks.

Need to "REPAIR" the team not "PREPARE" in my opinion.

"Fine tuning their techniques" . . . yeah . . . that's what would have made the difference against Alabama . . . "fine tuning their techniques".

Maybe "Coarse tuning the coaching staff" will be something they try next, starting at the top.

Interesting question pulled from the AJC.

Seem to remember it being "mentioned on Dawgs.com" that AM was a quarterback with "multiple skills". Also remember Richt/Bobo all over AM because he was not playing the position "the Richt/Bobo way". Think most of us understand what Shockley meant to us.

Q: Why don’t we ever recruit top-tier dual threat QBs? (Jacolby Montreal Wilson) A: This answer requires some amount of perspective. First, let’s not forget that Mark Richt has recruited dual-threats like D.J. Shockley and Christian Lemay in the past. Both were highly-rated. Shockley worked out. It may sound like a stretch, but Aaron Murray was also seen as a dual-threat quarterback by recruiting analysts coming out of the high school ranks.

Sorry, could not pass that tid-bit up. What is wrong with UGA football . . . . don't have a clue.

Probably a rod through the oil pan wlayton.
