averagedawg you and I both understand that it takes the right type of person/coach to make things happen. Nick Saban knew he wanted and needed Kirby Smart. Same can be said for Kirby. Stayed put, was being offered the defensive coordinator position. Best piece of advice that Kirby got was from Nick. Any place that Kirby wants to go now, he will be welcomed with open arms and a truckload of money. Muschamp tried to move too fast and . . . .
Kirby also knew the problems in Athens were not the fans, and he saw the turnovers that resulted in coaches for some reason not "getting it done" under our head coach. Patience is a virtue. Proven when Kirby remained with Nick. Fact.
Totally agree with you on Sony Michel. He is no different than Nick Chubb, will bust his butt for that extra yard. That is exactly what happened to Nick Chubb when injured. Trying to make something happen that was not a designed play, not his bad, just playing the game the only way he knows how.
Was really glad to see Todd Gurley on the sideline with Nick Chubb. Todd Gurley will be a benefit to Georgia in more ways than one. At some point there will be talent and he will be the reason for them selecting UGA.
Believe it was proven yesterday that Theus will be a guard if he plays in the NFL. NFL is loaded with players with as much or more talent than he faced yesterday. That is not cutting Theus, could very well be that he should be playing guard or right tackle, as he did early on.
If the play calling is the same in JAX, not going to be a fun game for many. Long ride back to North Georgia, much easier when we give ourselves a "chance to win". Like DAWGtm posted in this thread . . . .
It sure is a sad day when you miss bobo's play calling.
Still in my opinion, falls at the feet of Richt. He wears the big hat.
EDIT. . . . Editor of this article should be asking the head coach questions, not the AJC and ABH representatives.
