Sorry, don't mean to be a "Debbie Downer" but you've got to make that play.

He had a fantastic game and love RD but in bigtime moments, on the big stage, you just have to make that play.....could not have been thrown any better or more catchable. Plus he's use to catching long balls from fielding our punts.....ugh

We know that and so does he.

My point was he was not the only guy who didn't make a play that day, and there were many other things that contriibuted to the loss just as much or more than his drop. He didn't make one... I can name others who didn't make several.

While I don't disagree with wlayton in the "short run", I believe that is one of the "major problems" with our program.

Wartdawg allow me this. Talking specifically about "that play", Reggie will never get a better thrown pass or a pass that should be caught.

If we go through the entire process of catching a football, I bring this up as you did, I think.

Plus he's use to catching long balls from fielding our punts.....ugh./b]

Sorry, fielding a punt is nothing close to a perfectly thrown spiral.

Usually you are moving "forward" to field a punt. Big difference in chasing a pass from a different direction. Totally different ways of fielding/catching a ball.

Understand the point made, but it is not a "fair catch" situation. Totally different.

I didn't say anything about that play being like fielding a punt. That was wlayton who said that.

The only thing I said about making that catch was that we and everyone else knows he should have made it.

Maybe Lambert should've punted it to RD instead of passing. LOL

Whoops? To soon?

Was not referring to what you said. The phrase in bold I feel pretty much explains my difference with what wlayton said.

Hope that is clear, sometimes I don't seem to get my thoughts across. Either way, regardless of what has been said . . . . will say again, I have had some misfortunes in my life, as most folks have. Through trial and error usually found my way out of the problem(s).

Bet this . . . . Reggie Davis will look back on this years down the road and it will not be the only bump in the road he will have encountered. His "messy up" just happened to be on national television.

Watched Nick Chubb fumble against Georgia Tech, did not seem to stop him in the games played after that.

Just trying to show feelings for a "very young man" that probably has not encountered anything like this before.
