Monday Morning Like or Not . . . . Conversation Accepted or Not

For me, the below that is italicized means a lot.

Georgia true freshmen who played on Saturday: Rico McGraw, Juwuan Briscoe, Jonathan Ledbetter, Kirby Choates, Roquan Smith, Terry Godwin, Natrez Patrick, D’Andre Walker, Deandre Baker, Jarvis Wilson, Johnathan Abram, Rashad Roundtree, Juwan Taylor, Nick Moore (walk-on), Michael Chigbu, Trent Thompson, Jackson Harris, Chauncey Rivers, DeQuan Hawkins. (Junior college transfer Chuks Amaechi also played.)

The above I picked up from Seth Emerson. He is allowed in the hallowed halls.

Been around Georgia Football for a while. Looking back and trying to recall anything close to what I see above, never.

There has been a lot of "chirping about depth coming from me" pertaining to "catching up" with Alabama Football. I do not hide from the fact that we have had talent for many, many years.

The depth building that I think I see is because of the "coaching newbies". There is a plan in place, believe it is because "there needed to be one".

Looking over the coaches that have come and gone, can't remember when I have seen a group as strong as the group that is now employed in Athens.

From where I sit, still do not believe that we have all corners covered, but I do believe that we are closer to being more than a team that is (x) number of wins per year and accepted. I do not believe that we are as predictable as we were in say . . . . 2006/2007 and moving forward.

I see some things that I am not on board with, but I am not privy to things that I am not allowed to see.

Opening this thread having more to say, and will.

Something I saw as I'm sure y'all did to was I think we finally have a coach that's taking charge of the special teams and that would be coach Ekler. He was the first one the players looked up after making a great play and he was showing the love.

DAWGtm, Coach Ekeler is all that.

Good on you for posting that. Limey also mentioned Special Teams, he knows.

These players needed "guidance" and the "Newbie Coaches" are doing "just that".

Changes have been made in Athens. Might be more needs to be made, but those of us that "think" we understand realize that sometimes it "comes from the bottom" to make the "top understand". Hope that makes sense to those that want better.

I want better, and I have seen improvement. Some things cannot be changed, have to live with them.

DAWGtm allow me this. Last week I made some comments about our "punter" that were not complimentary. Did that because I can only speak to what I see.

Saturday I watched our "punter" become the "kicker" and had a lot of folks in my home that looked at me and said . . . . "what"? Did not know that our punter could put the football in the endzone x number of times. Not a question in my mind that Barber handles the kickoff duties. Not playing favorites here, playing football at the D1 level. I said that.

Buc. Thanks for the shout out for Barber

He was the first to point out that he didn't put

The time in last year and it showed. He also

Point out that the ST Coordinator set goals

And held players accountable. He is part of

A large group of players that learned what

It means to Pound the G.

Notice that having Shotty on the sidelines proved to be beneficial on changing plays

IMO. when we spoke about changes in our

Program had a peek at them Saturday as you

Noted Buc......at the start of this thread

Go. Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

This post is for all that read here. No doubt that you understand the game of American Football.

Have all of the answers, could without a doubt change a "loss" to a "win".

Do I understand the "spit" that MR has done in Athens"? Yes.

Have also said this . . . . Seems to me that his expertise is recruiting, whether in living rooms or wherever.

One of the members that I respect mentioned earlier that MR was a recruiter and more or less left an answer that I did not understand, as if that made any difference. I would bet this. Any place or places of work we are involved in has problems. Understand the next question . . . . I also understand that sometimes problems need to be "fixed". That will not happen in Athens if we are discussing the Head Coach.

If we "choose" to come to this board or "others" and continue to sing to the "choir" . . . . ain't gonna happen.

Where do we (UGA FOOTBALL) go from there?

Nothing wrong with throwing spit balls, with rubber bands I might add.

If you believe in your stance, there will never be a better time to post it than here. One thing I know, some like to ride the "backs of others". Said that also.

Have a lot to say.

Not going to hang out on the fringes and be moved around without understanding.

We (UGA) are a good football team.

If we do not "shore up" the interior of the defensive line, not going to like the "visit" from the folks crossing the Chattahoochee River.

Alabama is that good on the inside.

Yes, we have running backs, but remember this and it was a very good point . . . . short time back that Mark Richt said our #2 offensive line needed to "catch up". I say that because I figure that Sales told him that. Not being ugly, just sticking to the truth.

Watched Gus, all I can say about Gus is this . . . . POS. Auburn will have a hard time defending their territory against UGA.

So, we have Alabama in Athens, and play Gus at "his place".

Really not in the mood to hear "two years" down the road. That has been the "escape" that some on this board have talked about for "years"?

QUESTION. How long is it permissible for us to continue on the same path that we have followed for 15 years? Fair question?
