Game Day # 1 LM Warhawks

I actually hope ULM can apply a little pressure. The knock on Lambert is that he makes mistakes when he's under pressure, so I would like to see how he responds to it before he faces it in a game where a mistake can make a bigger difference.

I also want to see our #2 get some serious time so we can see how they compare in a real game.

lot of experimental football in that first quarter

Well the O has yet to realy click like a finely tuned machine. Both TD's came on short field, but when we've had to drive the ball there hasn't been much continuity. Lambert's been flushed out of the pocket and dumped the ball, and not much has been open for the RB's.

There was a little better flow that drive.

I want to see Lambert hit some receivers in stride. They haven't really pushed anything downfield at all. I want to see a couple of intermediate routes with a chance to hit a WR at speed.

Nice to see Marshall in there and getting the score, and I imagine now we'll start to see ULM wear down and get pushed around more on the line. The line though still isn't quite in sync. I hope to see them mesh a bit more... I know they can overpower ULM with strength, but I want to see them get off that first man and hit their blocks at the 2nd level a bit better as the game goes on.
