optimism or pessimism

We play at Tenn right after a VERY physical game against Bama and that scares me! I think Bama and the Vols are going to be the two toughest games next year, Tech could give us some trouble as well.

I'm very optimistic about next season...

Now that I look a little deeper the Gus Bus to the Bay area looks to be mostly 'niner fans dreaming.

I can't overstate how much I liked not seeing 1 or 2 boneheaded 15 yard penalties per game by the defense. Replace all the "me" guys that got booted from the defense last off season and I am optimistic about the defense.

Not trying to be pessimistic, but that's what I think.

Tough schedule... new QB, possibly one that looked so-so during just mop up duty, and then looked way over his head in the bowl game. We have to overcome the loss of some quality receivers.

9-4 after our win in whichever bowl we go to from the list below.

I'm in limbo on which way things could go. Wartdawg you made some very good points and I believe the Bama game is going to mean a lot on where our season goes. We both should be 4-0 coming into that game and both of us ranked in the top 8 at least. If we were to lose this game in a convincing physical battle then we could very well drop our next two and end the season 9-3 or 8-4 (depending on the Tech game). BUT if we were to win in a somewhat convincing manner (I think we do) then we may end up being the team to beat and dare I say we may run the table. A hard fought win or loss sets up a very interesting game against a VERY physical and hungry Vols team no matter how you slice it! That Tenn game is going to be a mental and physical game!

Every year (at least in most of the past 10 or so) I think we are going to win a NC regardless of how unrealistic it may seem and that's just the way I think, feel and prepare. The talent is there and I really think Pruitt will have our D prepared for every team we face next year. I'm VERY concerned about our QB position and our O line hire, a mistake at either one of these calls will set us back. The chemistry between the O and Shotty concerns me a little as well. But my optimistic side truly believes that Shotty was a GREAT hire and a set of fresh eyes looking at all of this talent might just be what the Doctor ordered. Only time will tell, G game is going to be more than intriguing this year!

Can't remember who predicted the East next year on the radio this morning but since you brought up UT I thought I would share what the predicted East ranking were.....

1. UT
2. UGA
3. Mizzou
4. UF

Only heard the first 4....the service touted UT as being very talented from last couple of years recruiting.

Considering the fact that UT finished the season hot as a firecracker, Darth Visor always gets in our heads, and Saban, we know how his teams are. The Gators have a new HC,Auburn will have a new QB and DC, 2 solid weeks of the Triple Option in GSU & GT.

All the afore mentioned scare the B'Jesus outta me !
