This is the kind of thing that really makes me want to face off with Scrooge McGarity.
This is the opening of the article that Seth Emerson published.
ATHENS - UGA and head football coach Mark Richt are working on a contract extension, athletics director Greg McGarity said in an e-mail to donors on Friday.
The letter was a standard monthly letter that McGarity sends to donors.
Will explain my feelings. McGarity and the Group are totally wrapped up in
DONORS. If you buy tickets, concessions, jerseys or whatever . . . . you do not get the monthly email. You must send
"Mo Money" if you want to be a part of what McGarity has to say. Not totally private, but for damn sure what he has to say to
"donors" does not apply to those that cannot spend more than they do.
stevedawg is all over what is going on in Athens, here is hoping that most are reading what he has to say. Simple truths that beg to be answered.
Allow me this question.
Why should someone with money available to be a
"Donor" receive more information from Scrooge McGarity and the Group on the happenings with Georgia athletics?
Not all folks/fans that make their way to Athens to watch football or whatever sport make $500,000 and more yearly, as does McGarity.
Now the Public Relations group as predicted here are starting to try and sell us on McGarity and the Groups efforts.
Below is the link to what the Macon Telegraph posted on the internet. Have the time, read the article . . . . what do you think? Know what I think.
