From Athens-BPS side of Thoughts

Between the dissing of the East all season (mostly deserved) and the pathetic bowl performance of the West, maybe attitude has more to do with this than we think. East teams playing with more of an edge in the bowls... more to prove. West teams complacent and thinking it's going to be handed to them.

Maybe more was made of the A&M /SC game than should have been. But A&M was expected to do little and SC was supposed to compete for the East. Talking heads sometimes get carried away with stuff like that.

Hope we get decent and EXPERIENCED OC and OL coaches. Don't want to serve as somebody's learning curve and stepping board.

Was very impressed with CJP. D had some letdowns, but I saw far fewer boneheaded goofs, more stamina, more spirit, and more results. Give him a chance and I think we'll see a return of the Junkyard Dawgs. Should have a monster DL next year.

Love to see new coach, but we probably won't for several years. In that case, love to see competent assistants who can do the actual coaching and get the young pups ready to play.

rockdawg....motivation is everything in sports imo. You can coach until you are blue in the face but can you motivate??

Imo, it seems even the coaches that are good motivators still have problems in that area with these kids nowadays.....week to week it is tough to stay motivated that's why the kids need to take some responsibilty as well.

The Vols are going to make some noise next year...

Was mentioned on this board by wlayton that taking a closer look at the 2014 Edition of Georgia Football, what prevented us from maybe playing in the Final Four. Seems I remember "all" of the media talking heads at the beginning of the 2014 Season discussing UGA's schedule and football types like Todd Gurley. Lack of talent, not from where I sit, speaking to playing talent.

Below is in my opinion, the results of a changing college football scene. There will be more of this, understandable.

Another reason for the Public Relations pitch about coaches salaries in Athens. Simple, our head coach needed Pruitt/Rocker and Company or our program was going to fall from mediocre to bottom of the pile.

Bothers me a great deal when we fail to sign offensive linemen.
