Wartdawg your post #59 caught my attention.
Have tried to stay away from too much talk about Faton Bauta. When I go back two years and read what some of the players on the team were saying at that point about Bauta, just reinforces many of the things that I did say before.
Coaches were all over Hutson Mason about "letting it rip". Now we have Ramsey who will be the starter it appears in 2015 that "lets it rip" but does not as you say, know where to place the ball. Been on campus around some talented players, somewhat surprised with his lack of understanding. Anyone remember when Bauta was placed in front of Ramsey? Remember the reason? Reason was Ramsey was having a difficult time with the playbook.
At this point, I am inclined to believe that as sflanagan21 has said, Park could be a "sleeper". Meaning Jacob Park, will come out of nowhere and "be all that". Would not be the first time that has happened.
Simply said, we will never know about Faton Bauta, other than the fact that he was recruited by those that like "pretty spirals". I said that.
Edit . . . . Looking around, and when I read this kind of "stuff" just reinforces my thoughts on the lack of coaching ability we have. We have plain and simply "athletes" every year that could do so much more. Maybe even make the "Final Four".
Faton Bauta, a redshirt sophomore, has been around the program awhile too and offers a running dimension. Richt has said they're going to keep Georgia's pro-style offense, but a new coach could always favor Bauta's mobility more.
Really, really . . . . A new offensive coordinator could always favor Bauta's mobility more? Richt will hire someone that will allow that? Public Relations at work, big time. Hold on to those seats in Butts-Mehre, cubbies.
