Said earlier in this thread that I was through with talk about grantham. Lied. Not really, read this piece in another column and it took me back to what I said in post #54.
Posted in #54 . . . .
grantham made some inroads in the way Louisville played defense. Still, saw some of the same things he did while in Athens. I will leave grantham alone now, he is past tense.
This was posted prior to an article being written about some of the same. Yes, folks do read what is posted here. Posted here on the 30th, below was posted elsewhere today. Cannot let some things slide, has happened often here, not just me, others also.
When Grantham was coaching Georgia’s defense, two recurring problems aggravated Bulldogs fans: the tendency of the run defense to wear down in the second half and Grantham’s inability to get his signals in quickly enough to handle a hurry-up offense.
Maybe it was noticeable to many, just haven't seen it in print prior to being referred to here. It was very obvious that grantham still has not caught up with the fact that "others" also watch for "tendencies". Good move on John Lilly's part to set the Chubb call in motion.
There is much more to be discussed about the other factors that will surround what will be released to those of us that have not been in the "arena".
My guess at this point is there will be a "koom-bah-yah moment" in the very near future. Public Relations will be all over the results of the game in Charlotte. Very good win in the Belk Bowl, now let's get to the problems that remain after the game in Charlotte.
Not being ugly, just refuse to accept what happened in Charlotte to remove from my mind what I have seen for a long time and getting worse since the Athletic Directors arrival. Will stop there . . . . for now.
From me to all of you good folks, have a great 2015.
