dawgs_fans_dad, spent the last couple of days trying to get a grip on this "thing" that is now being talked about in the press, not wide open yet, but getting there.
Went back to grantham's first press conference after leaving UGA and landing in Louisville.
Some of the "chatter" on the internet concerning the supposed feud or disagreement between Richt/McGarity is openly put forward by grantham in that presser.
grantham says point blank that he is glad to be with a university with an athletic director, get this . . . . "gets things done". Things done in grantham's mind is a one way street . . . . football.
Not building Richt up by any means, much of what has happened in Athens occurred way before Scrooge arrived. However, we have had time to watch McGarity do his thing, I am not impressed, neither was grantham, probably Mike Bobo, maybe Will Friend, and . . . . who is next, and there will be a "next".
Appears that the "Group" is going to have to make a decision.
Disney I promise you wants Mark Richt to remain, good for their bottom line. McGarity, ESPN could care less. If M&M were making the decision, McGarity is out. Dollars and cents make the decisions in the World of Disney.
If this is a full blown feud, we will get to see the open wounds.
Promise everyone this . . . . Foley did not ask McGarity to stay. Maybe that is where McGarity got his idea about not offering Mike Bobo. Mike Bobo said he was not about the "money" believe that to a "point".
Truthfully, don't see any good coming out of the current situation.
Belk Bowl football talk. Louisville will be all over the UGA Toss Sweep. Not a doubt in my mind that tightend play will be ramped up at 6:30 p.m. grantham's defense is predicated on controlling the middle of the line, forcing play to his outside linebackers.
