A couple of notes:
It was hard to judge Mason this week. The play calling at the beginning of the game was a bit off kilter, and he never got a chance to get into any rhythm.
Now, I'm not going to be a buzzkill here, but I don't want to get too overly excited. It was nice to see us do what we should have done and wear them down in the second half. It does however remain to be seen what our O-line can do against a bigger, stronger SEC D-line.
They get their chance in a couple of weeks.
That being said.... man it was nice to see us doing what we should be doing... wearing down a team we should wear down. That's something in the past we haven't always been able to do.
How nice was it to see us pulling away at the end of a game instead of hanging on for dear life?
Floyd said our D really didn't make half-time adjustments... CJP just said we're going to keep running the same stuff at them, to paraphrase..
If that's true then that's even better than had they made adjustments because that means it took these boys about 1 half to figure out where to be and what to be doing. 1 half, as opposed to playing an entire season and still not having anything figured out.
How nice was it seeing our players on D actually lined up and looking like they knew who to
cover?
Towel Toddy... not missing you, brutha.
Speaking of which... anyone see the Louisvile game? Now Miami wasn't good enough to take advantage of it, but it's nice to see the TTTT continue. (Terrible Towel Toddy Tradition)
With 1st down inside the Louisville 20, Miami runs a play and seemingly half of UL's D wasn't even on the field. It's just too bad that the U was so inept that they dropped a lateral and turned the ball over when they should have scored easily with all the confusion on D.
God Bless and Go Dawgs
