Go Dawgs!
From Athens - 29 Days until GDF was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
Just 29 days until GDF. Fall camp starts today.
As I posted earlier it has been a very busy eight months.
We can debate what talent has left Athens and how it will affect our team. As CJP voiced we go with what we have
While on the subject of talent I can remember reading sometime ago that high school talent does not always translate to the SEC level.
Always a pleasant surprise when a 3* or walk on excels
We have several players who did just that- a very good thing
I like everyone else has nothing but an educated or maybe not so educated guess on how we will do this season.
The flat earth people will say we will be no better than last year or the year before. If proven wrong it easy to say they were wrong and jump on the bus or not
Maybe it easier to deal with disappointment if you expect the worst.
For me the start of a new season is like starting to read a new book, no not a novel more like a historical mystery
I want to give the author the benefit of reading each page or in this case watching each game.
Let the results be played out on the field
Nobody wants to win a NC more than I do.
However CC catch against UT last year was still- great
AM’s and our offense’s effort against AU –still great
As with our games with LSU & USC- still great
These were no less memorable because we didn’t win the NC
It becomes very easy to not see the trees for the forest
No question we stunk it up last year also and looked very weak in doing it and then tanked our nothing bowl game.
All very true and part of what was the 2013 season.
Filled with more disappointment than success for sure
However those players who busted tail need to know their efforts were appreciated
CMR is doing less coach speak about winning the east
Which we all know has to be done as step one
Then there are still 2 steps left this year after that to win the NC
So I am all in.
Josh Murray has claimed a bride to be
Dawgs need to win the NC
No Rose colored glass or sugar sweet KoolAid
2014 – the year of Ray Bans and “Extreme Bad Dog 151”
Clumpson in 29 days and counting
Pause and give thanks
If the opportunity presents itself, thank a Vet
Have a great weekend and a safe week
As always “Go Dawgs”

Well said YD1. First step is SEC East. Then everything will take care of itself.
Always exciting at start of season. Always look at polls with optimism/skepticism. National coaches preseason poll has UGA at #12. SC sits at #9. That has to say something.
Watching CF Daily, Kevin Carter (former gator) had UGA under 9 wins. Don't think that will take UGA where we want them to go.
Like YD1 said, let the game be played out on the field.

Appears to me that many of the "expectations" have been shifted to Pruitt/Rocker and Company. Much of the "load" has been lifted from Richt's shoulders.
Believe that Richt was caught in a trap with grantham. Should be remembered that after grantham visited the Saints, McGarity came across with some coins. What changed . . . . nothing more than money changing hands. More money, less defense. That is the way I view the transaction.
To get to the NC game it is going to require that coaches on both sides of the ball build trust with each other. Did not take long for Bobo and Pruitt to join hands and approach Richt. They understood that Richt needed some "guidance" in coaching procedures. Sometimes those that wear the big hat don't know everything. World would be a better place if ears were used and lips were shut. Same applies to coaching.
The 2014 Season is filled with great curosity. Believe that Pruitt/Rocker and Company have big shoulders, not their first time around the block.
