Finally, Solid Coaching

Burrows has had a hard time in Athens. Wish he had played more, just did not turn out that way.

One thing that I am seeing that actually makes me a happy man. No more of this being "given" a spot on the defense. This has been needed for years. You and I both know that many such as grantham, martinez and others play "favorites".

Was never that way with Erk, and appears that Pruitt is cut from the same cloth.

At this point it certainly appears that playing for Pruitt/Rocker comes from hard work and skill.

Read below in the article that another "BMOC" type is heading to Louisville. I say, good riddance.

The way Pruitt is running the defense is the beginning of something special. JMO.

Interesting read below.

McGarity and the Group not using their heads when it comes to empty seats. They continue on this path and Sanford Stadium is going to look like our last bowl game in JAX. Not many butts in the seats. They seem to have an "excuse" for everything.

From the outside looking in, it looks like the new coaching staff is kicking butt and the prima donnas want out. Maybe not Burrows so much, but definitely some of the others. Better that they underachieve in Louisville than Athens imo...

dawgs_fan_dad, good to hear from you again.

Hope I didn't post in such a way as to come down on Burrows. Did not mean to cast a shadow over him. Burrows is a good person, just think with all of the injuries and talent, hard for him to get playing time.

Another case in point, my opinion, Burrows was not on grantham's "pet list".

Do believe that the handwriting is on the wall as far as Pruitt/Rocker and defensive coaches are concerned.

Also like Pruitt's response to a question when in Columbus. Asked if his defensive backfield would be any good . . . . Pruitt replied that all of his defensive backfields have been good. FSU with many freshmen playing under Pruitt's guidance, gives me high hopes that Pruitt is a "teacher".

Pruitt knows that he has talent on campus and heading to Athens this summer. I have read everything I can find on the incoming class, also have watched those in Athens. We are in very good shape, JMO.

Offensive line plays, we could be hard to handle. :)

I certainly get where everybody is coming from but all schools in every conference has rising costs of operation etc. and 90%+ of those schools don't win their conferences/NC's either.

Inflation is low but still around 2 1/2% per year.

I don't really have a problem if ticket prices go up if it is MODERATE. "Technically" by not raising prices since 2008, they absorbed the annual inflation rate.

Now assuming 2 1/2% each year, that $40 ticket should be at approximately $46.39 for 2014. Will be interested to see what that $40 ticket is raised to.

(Ok guys, not starting something because I understand the other side but at some point any organization has to look at rising cost of inflation etc)

wlayton, good go. I understand fully the 2 1/2%. Here is where you and I come together . . . . what is MODERATE?

Season tickets supposedly have been wrapped up. Now we get down to the "working stiff", don't mean that as a bad term. Unemployment still is what it is, according to whose voice we want to listen to.

Butts in the seat will come down to wins and losses. If we are a bit shaky from the get go, will have a serious effect on attendance. As you and I both know, performance in the stock market has factors that regulate and indicate the outcome.

Sorry, you made a very good post.
