I did chuckle at first averagedawg, then I realized the amount of truth in the above. With a serious head coach, UGA could be in the final 4 more years than not.

Have to say this . . . . Can only imagine AM playing and having a defensive coordinator that did his job. Sky was the limit. Might be a while before another AM comes along. Still would like to see you know who geting snaps at the quarterback position. UGA could be a very good running team with Faton Bauta taking the snaps. Not starting controversy, just stating facts. Hope Hutson Mason has a great season, that is sincere.

Will say this . . . . Spurrier has always known the value of having two quarterbacks. Keeps the edge. Not every quarterback is going to be an AM. Spurrier I would say has been successful running his system, his way. Truth.

Every day I still marvel at what Murray was able to accomplish.
Everyone I talk to, Georgia fans or not, have nothing but praise for Aaron.
I would bet any thing that had Murray played for Saban, he would have easily been the starting QB, not McCarron.

Agree averagedawg.......but do believe Saban would have taken that "gunslinger" mentality out of AM's early years. Saban may have actually toned AM down to where we would not have ever seen all his playmaking skills.....Saban is pretty conservative and relies on the run and his D.

Who knows, McCarron may be better than what he was allowed to show....guess we'll see at the next level.

wlayton, Even Saban sees the need for change.
None too happy with his offense last season.
Why he hired Kiffen.
McCarron was adept at the sideline, back shoulder passes, not very good throwing deep downfield, had great receivers.
Murray and McCarron are both gamers.
Murray the smarter, better QB in my opinion.

Absolutely agree that AM is the better QB.....just couldn't help but wonder if Saban would have "watered" AM down a bit.
