FSU will once again own South Georgia in recruiting.
Had a little more time to think about this post.
Gator Bowl has come and gone, and here we are with more of the wait until next year, we will be really good in 2014.
My personal feeling is that some of the young men that sign on with Georgia honestly take on the personality of the head coach. At the same time we have an egomaniac on the defensive side that is the exact opposite of the head coach.
Hard for me to understand the coaches not the players. Players are caught between the two coaches, the result of that is what we have seen on the field since the head coach and our defensive coordinator came together. Players on the offensive line playing football every other game. Players on defense still scratching their heads and waving their arms.
Head coach calls this continuity. The same continuity that I saw when Willie was the defensive coordinator. Head coach does not fully understand the word "continuity". If 8-5 is the head coaches idea of continuity, my friends, I don't want any more of it.
Have read where some think that Auburn winning might lessen the damage that is already occuring in South Georgia. In my opinion, could not be farther from what will happen elsewhere. Damage is done as far as us competing with FSU. If Auburn wins, makes it a hell of a lot worse for UGA. The athletes from Middle and North Georgia will flock to play on the Plains. Alabama with a loss last night, will still get most of what they want on this side of the Chattahoochee.
2014 schedule that many seem to think will be a cake walk. Not so. Auburn returns. Anyone think that Tennessee and Florida will not improve? Vanderbilt, they have shown what their intentions are. Could very well be a season that "excuses" will not suffice.
Question is . . . . Where does this leave us. Guess here is that we start the "get'em in 2015". Seems to be the leaders way of remaining in the pay line. Four years with a guarantee of 3 million a year. Why would I leave, hell that is a lot of money to pass up. Only go around once in this lifetime, grab it while it is there, right?
Don't buy into the coaching staff, don't buy into the folks that run the program higher up. Could very well be that McGarity's hands are tied. Folks above him are satisfied with the coaching setup.
