Go Dawgs!
From Athens-Game Day Tuesday was created by yankeedawg1
Good Afternoon All,
First off wishing everyone a safe and successful 2014
I will hold off until later reflecting on our recent season
We have kicked the can a few times around the block on how disappointed and frustrated we are. Yes also tired
Coaches and players add in the administration all have fallen short of our expectation.
Extremely dismal at best.
This leaves us who are not in the arena stewing in our juices
Faith is a fickle thing you only find out how much you have until it is tested and tested again and again
While it has been hammered I still have faith in the University of Georgia and its football program
Notice I didn’t say coaches
2014 and the playoff system is going to make for a change
Just like Johnny Football in 2013 we didn’t see AU success coming
It was the Tide to be crowned again as NC in 2013 sure thing
A few short years ago we felt that Dan Mullen would have MSU as a national power. Turned out to be a short ride that has fallen short
Will CGM and AU be as good and as lucky in 2014?
Money says the Tide will be back question is will it be 2014?
Then there is the question which UGA team will we see in 2014?
Most of us here think it will be more of the same –but none of us
Would be disappointed if HM and crew repeated what DS did in his one year as a starter or more
No chance you say, need to have a horse in the race to win
Heads didn’t pick Boston to win the WS
Georgia had a call from Russ asking that we rally the nation
Russ said we talk about no excuses
Even if it is the Ho Hum Bowl
It is time for the Dawgs to rise up and beat the snot out of the Huskers
May we not play their sorry butts for 20 years or more
Pause and give thanks
Buc, A Happy New Year to Greg and his fellow vets
Have a great New Years and a safe week
As always “Go Dawgs”!!!

yankeedawg1, tomorrow we will get a "glimpse" of what we might expect in the 2014 Season.
Not worried too much about Hutson Mason, he will do what the O-line allows him to do.
Hoping to get a good look at our defensive front, Nebraska will test this group. Defensive line was looking better with each game in 2013.
Bo demands his players get in the dirt and play grown man football. He is a tough guy coach.
Richt says that he feels the team is ready to play. Said he changed the way they prepared for this bowl. Sure don't want to see anything like Memphis repeated.
There were some surprises this season, football takes funny bounces, and sometimes funny decisions are made. Ask Saban.
Really would like to see our Bulldogs come out and play as a team, think that some of that has been missing.
Have not said before, but Greg is aware of this site, not one to say too much. We have discussed this board when together. Played at Lowndes, played for Dooley at UGA, injured, went to the Marine Corps, came home and dedicated himself to helping Veterans. Greg you are all that. yd1, he probably has read or will read this.
Best wishes to you for 2014 and beyond yankeedawg1.

ogredawg, just got the news at 7:27 p.m. that Jimbo Fisher signed a contract with FSU. You hit it.
That however is not good news for those in Athens. FACT.
Now we better get our you know what together. Already have the two Alabama's, now FSU returns, not good.
Boys in Athens better get off of their butts and give Bryan McClendon some help. Hear that todd grantham? Drop that damn ego and go to work. NFL does not want you back.

Follow up on post #4 in this thread.
Dalvin Cook switched from the gators to FSU. Dalvin Cook had been commited to the gators for a long time. Dalvin is also the young man that has tried his best to get Sony Michel to come with him to Gainesville, Florida. Serious hit that the gators are taking on this one. Both of these running backs from South Florida. Sony and Dalvin.
Dalvin is rated as the fourth best running back in the nation, Sony #2.
Dalvin got the confirmation that Jimbo Fisher was sticking with FSU. Going to cause problems for us on the recruiting trail.
Georgia needs to look "real, real good" in JAX tomorrow.
Watching Under/Armour tonight, see some serious offensive linemen on the practice field, don't see UGA's name being mentioned.
Edit: The Seminoles — who signed Fisher earlier in the day to a new five-year deal through the 2018 season for $21 million and will play Auburn for a BCS National Championship on Monday — have locked up arguably the best player in South Florida.
Sony Michel is hands down better than Dalvin Cook. Comes down to college offensive lines. FSU is loaded, much like Alabama and Auburn.
averagedawg, David Cutcliffe (Duke) showing TAM what coaching is all about. Cutcliffe not good enough for the SEC.

Fisher will be at FSU as long as HE wants to be there. A National program that can recruit BOTH Florida and Georgia and grab a big name from anywhere in the country. Not to mention once they beat Aubuurn he will have a new trophy and shiney new ring to show off to prospective recruits.
FSU will once again own South Georgia in recruiting.
