Who do you all feel is the Most Valuable Player on this year's team.....Murray or Gurley?
Now before you answer quickly with AM (which is probably everyone's first thought), think about the season and what transpired.
4 losses.....Gurley out in 2 of them and played the other 2 which we probably should have won. AM had his most outstanding year of his 4 by far.
Just analyze a few minutes before you post. Thought this might entertain us a little.
For me.....I have to go 60% to 40% for AM.

We were also without Marshall, Bennett, Mitchell, Rome etc etc when/after Gurley went down.
My vote AM hands down.

Both of these young men put in the time, don't have to mention effort when discussing these two.
Also, if the season had continued without injuries . . . . Heisman consideration? For that reason, no doubt it would have been a helluva tough choice.
How many games would we have won with Gurley at 100% . . . . more than we did.
What makes this closer in my way of thinking is what Gurley did with Hutson Mason yesterday. Then we look at AM against Alabama last season, Auburn this season . . . . and other games.
Both of these young men are leaders. Have to abstain. Just call me "chicken" on this one.
Good post wlayton. Made me reflect, like that a lot.

Can't count the Tech game which TG in the 2nd Ot just took over not going to lose
AM. trigger guy for the offense no question TG made plays AM clutch passes time after time
All season. Yes but without TG's. 14 pts we leave JAX with a Loss
Without AM we leave Koxville with a loss. As Buc said close but I still like AM in. a close call
Go Dawgs!

I love AM as you know (ever since you gave us the "heads up" on him coming out of HS....great call on your part!!) but then started thinking about how much Gurley means to the success of the team (look no further than UF game).
I was kinda stumped so thought it would be an interesting thread.
When I thought about it more, I had to give the nod to AM (example...he had the Vandy game won with not much to work with etc).
Glad Mr. Gurley is back next year!!
