Like I said earlier - Penetrate and Tackle - No highlight film material for them
- We cannot settle for field goals- We will need every point possible

36869, know that you live "among them", will pull extra hard for a victory tomorrow. Might be one thing that has not been mentioned, or I have not seen it in detail . . . . Chris Wilson's insistence that we "rotate" our defensive line. Some big men there that are able to make folks think before entering their territory. Auburn will score some points, both running and passing, believe we do the same. Have this feeling that AM has a "pay back" for years past. Crossed fingers.

Dawg With Style, lots of coach speak right now.

Both teams know who will play at this point. I am always glad to see Conley in the lineup, knows how and always comes up with a big catch or two.

Said elsewhere, believe that AM will light the joint up (don't mean that like we did in the 1960's) . . . . has this game and one more against Kentucky and the SEC wars are over for him. This game we will all see why AM was a blessing to the University of Georgia. I fully believe that our offensive line and special teams are going to suddenly appear . . . . together, not one without the other.

Edit: DWS one thing that can work against a team as well as work for a team is all of that "energy" that is being mentioned in many articles and media folks. When the "juice" all of a sudden drops, folks like AM and his group recognize it. Hard to beat experience. Just saying. :)

TN Dawg wrote: My point exactly. Another reason I think AU may beat UGA is that Malzahn kept his foot on gas the entire game against TN. In 4th quarter, AU was up by 28 pts with little to go and Marshall was still in game,

Not giving up or saying we will positively lose, but our coaches have to have "killer" mind set if we are to win.

Go Dawgs! GATA!

TN Dawg this is the third time I have returned to your post. Not without good reason, you presented the "good reason".

Have to say this . . . . if the coaches in Athens do not recognize what you said above, just goes to show that maybe some of us have been on the field and understand football maybe more than we are given credit for.

There are a lot of football games every Saturday, but this particular SEC game will have folks like Urban "Liar" Meyer and others taking peeps. This is "the game" on Saturday the 16th day of November that will change a lot of where universitites play in bowl games.

Games like the one being played tomorrow between Georgia and Auburn are played all over the nation. Stanford was not (truly) given a chance against Oregon, but . . . .

At some point there is a reason that a Stanford can eliminate a team like Oregon that was going to face off with Alabama in the National Championship Game. According to those that tell us they understand the outcomes of college football better than we do, makes me lol.

Many said, including talking heads and Vegas that Auburn would not win against Texas A&M. TAM had Johnny Football and home field advantage. TAM had also taken Alabama to the wire on their turf. Auburn would not be a problem.

Say it again, tomorrow's game is up for grabs. Up for grabs meaning neither side has the over powering team.

So, what decides this game? Some like to say strong and shifty running backs. Others like to say the defenses. Offensive lines are mentioned. For the most part what I have read is the Auburn offensive line is fast, strong and are juiced.

Nick Marshall is being compared to Cam Newton after this short juncture in his SEC career. You buy that, and from what I have read, many do. Nick Marshall is not a Cam Newton, JMHO.

If Grantham cannot drive Nick Marshall nuts, we have our answer as to whether or not Grantham belongs in Athens. Would you not agree with that? At the beginning of this season, can anyone say that Nick Marshall would be the leader of the offense?

My thoughts move along this line. If our defensive coordinator cannot "game plan" against a "first year quarterback" in the SEC . . . . how does it improve next year or the year after?

From where I sit, this is a game that has to be coached, more so than played on the field. Don't take that statement in the wrong way. What I am saying is this . . . . If Malzahn and Johnson can get their troops ready to play a game of this magnitude . . . . explain to Buc why we can't do the same.

Say it again for (x) number of times this week, this is a game that coaching staffs are or should be held responsible for. The Nation is watching. Both sides are pretty much evenly matched personnel wise . . . . that leaves what? Maybe coaching?

This is what DawgnLA said in another thread, and I am on board with his post, and it is not the first time he has spoken along these lines. He understands.

*****

This is a line of scrimmage league. Must get more depth at the OL. Not necessarily talking about 5 stars across the board either. Need hard nosed, drive you into the dirt football players up there. Decent depth and plenty to rotate in on DL right now. Can't lose the focus there, but must get more OL signed. Need more that can play tackle position. Our only true depth is at OG as we sit now.

*****
From where I sit, that is absolutely spot on. Tomorrow I worry about our left offensive tackle. Lawson will be all over us on the left side. I know Gates is giving everything he has, just bothers me that Mark Richt can sign quarterbacks but comes up short in the living rooms of offensive left tackles. Think about that, are we wrong?

Probably my last post tonight. Know that makes many happy, but it works both ways, don't have to read the long, drawn out "stuff" that I often post here.

Bet the farm on this . . . . ogredawg's game day thread will be a lot "hotter" than the Appy State thread.

This is it . . . . AM and the Georgia Football "Team" will win tomorrow, if . . . . Grantham has a "game plan".

Cold wet night in Athens Just thinking how Auburn blew up Rocky Top me thinks they may think the same about us No respect

Have a feeling Marshal is going to see a whole lot of his friends from Athens up close

Both our line coaches will have their troops ready

I am smelling a pick six for us

I like our O and believe defense and ST with account themselves well

Just might not be as close as some heads are forecasting we just might shock those kittens

Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!
