Curious About Recruiting . . . .

I think CMR is doing a better job at recruiting. He lost his focus on the o-line for a few years, but think he is putting in a much better effort now. Right now, we have 15 scholarship O-line. We lose only 3 next year. I would like to see us sign some more productive talent, but seems they are trying. Good on them. I have seen the O-line look dominant against some good defenses, and not so good against some not so good defense. Tells me there is talent and coaching there. Focus to do it every play??? Would like to see us sign 2 more with this class. Don't care about stars, but sign kids that can contribute.

Stated many times that too many focus on only the bad. O-line has been better than average the last 2 years IMO. Yeah they have had some lapses, and missed assignments, but every single offensive line in the country has. EVERY SINGLE ONE has given up a sack. We just panick and think ours is the worst that has ever been every time something bad happens. We forget about the other 90% they perform well.

I would like to see another WR or 2 as well. Believe we could use 2 ILB too. Excited about Chubb and Michel. Yeah, we have Gurley and Marshall, but we had them this year too. This is the SEC, better have at least 3 really good ones.

I think recruiting classes are starting to get better. This is an area of improvement to me. Depth is being built. Look ast the returning oline next year. Lot of game experience. D-Line. Lot of game experience.

When I was at the VA today the following was brought to my attention. Had heard a little about Oklahoma State University, but did not pursue it too far.

Several of my posts I mention "follow the money". Here is a prime reason, along with the mess we recently saw Miami get away with.

Anyone remember that "Honey Badger" had been tested and apparently tested positive to drug use 10 or more times. Did not occur to me at the time, but now watching the video below and others that I am in to, maybe no wonder LSU and Miles can recruit so well. I mean, facts are facts. Strange after the 10th or so time, Miles finally suspended Honey Badger.

Small wonder the players love Les Miles.

Something that really bothers me about the OSU thingy is . . . . I am a supporter of T. Boone Pickens. TBP donated somewhere around 165 million dollars to OSU to improve their stadium and athletic rooms. Prior to 2001, OSU was not a blip on the screen, now they go bowling every year.

Just saying. Soon we will have M&M entering the picture and the real show will begin. Sure hate that college football has come to this. What would Munson say?

Plan to follow up with more of this OSU thing.

Edit: While I am at it, check the next video out.

During this period when all of this was going on, OSU had two head football coaches. Les Miles and Mike Gundy. Below are the five videos of players that had something to say, the truth.

Will lead off with this tape of Mike Gundy that many remember, concerned about players and their Mom's. College football folks.

One problem that I have is with our SEC Commissioner. Strutting around, clucking like the dominate rooster on the yard over the M&M contract. Same man that can't pick up the gavel and make all SEC schools participate under the same rules.

Tell you first hand, gators did this throughout Meyer's time as head coach. He, like Miles and Gundy knew nothing of this. Don't believe me about "follow the money". Soon you will, if you don't at this point.

I guess you could say that anyone watching the Bulldogs over the last few years would have to agree that we always sit high on the recruiting order but somehow overlook what we really need most, a deep line of scrimmage, nothing new and we all talk about it endlessly. What could be the reason for the negligence in this area? I think we all know that answer also, hardheadedness. Does'nt seem that those folks that we all think are listening in are really doing so.
