Curious About Recruiting . . . .

Hoping that all who regularly post here have something to say in this thread.

Right now we have somewhere around 17 scholarships offered.

Who would you like to see join the committed players in Athens for the 2014 Season with the 7 or 8 scholarships that are left.

If the cat has your tongue, might be you should not express views after the February signing date.

Talking about players, not coaches.

See any weaknesses that need to be addressed? If so, have names you would like to see join forces?

Not being ugly, get a bit ruffled when I read what "we" should have done, or could have done.

Easy to criticize, like I often do, other part of that is how does it get fixed.

All of us know the players that we have, we watch the games and have opinions as to fixing the problems. Like I asked, not coaches, what about position players, players that you and I don't have names but want the position fixed.

Will be interesting to read the posts on this thread. From where I sit.

Seldom do I see posts in the Football Recruiting Section of this board. I do see all of the "bitching" that all of us do after the fact. Yes, me too.

Buc, if it was me selecting and offering, would reinforce the offensive and defensive lines. That is Florida's downfall at this point and I do not want them to catch up. Not sure we will equal Alabama, but . . . .

Alabama had the #1 player in the country choose them today. Defensive End. Da'Shawn Hand.

The first big deal in lost recruits that I took part in on this board was the D'Rick mess

It worked out as did the IC mess IMO we have moved pass taking cast offs as our recruits

With CWF and CCW I think we will see more focus on the big uglies have a good crop on campus now

Building depth balance on recruiting is not a easy task you need linemen and a five star

This is a line of scrimmage league. Must get more depth at the OL. Not necessarily talking about 5 stars across the board either. Need hard nosed, drive you into the dirt football players up there. Decent depth and plenty to rotate in on DL right now. Can't lose the focus there, but must get more OL signed. Need more that can play tackle position. Our only true depth is at OG as we sit now.

I think there is no need to continue our recruiting practice of going after 15 quarterbacks, 20 running backs, 10 "athletes", and 3-4 OL and DL. We could sign 12 DL and 13 OL this February and I'd be happy.

Recruiting "skill" players has always been CMR's plan. O line has always been second in his mind. Take the Tunsil debacle whom is playing lights out for Ole Miss. may I add. No back up what so ever after he committed, and we are losing 3 out of 5 starters this year. We are not deep there and yes we have recruited there this year but mainly OG. 2 returning and 3 new it will again take a while for them to "jell" next year as a unit.
