From Athens-Game Day Friday #7

Good Morning All,

We have at most seven more games to watch in AM’s college career

As noted here in another thread HM may prove to be our T Martin or Shock which would be a welcome surprise, but both had more games snaps than HM which for me is a concern.

Having said that he has the ball skills to be successful plus he knows the
playbook and coaches which is a huge plus

What is now of importance is playing the remainder of this season

Not a surprise that we will again be without TG & TM for Vandy

Many here have voiced not to hurry TG back only to have him go down again with the same ankle,I agree.

Just maybe we will have TG-MB and-TS back for the UF game which would be a very good thing even with the rust of not playing

IMHO we have enough “O” to win out

Can’t say the same about the “D” and looking at the stats I don’t think anyone would disagree

Something about putting lipstick on a ham

Allow me to acknowledge that yes I have been wrong about many things in my life.

No stranger to humble pie and crow sandwiches

If I am wrong about our defense and coach CTG come seasons end

I will hold a sign stating so under the Arch for two hours on a Saturday
In February starting at noon

Coffee and lunch on me if anyone cares to join me

For the record last time I inserted my foot in my mouth was last
weekend when I made the bold and what I felt was a safe statement that there was no way in hell Brady would beat the Saints with just 5 seconds left in the game

Vandy will be ready and bring the house at AM

Can we stand tall and weather the storm and get to our bye week?

Said earlier there would be many questions this week

Answers start coming at Noon in the Music City

Going to be a very long day if our “O” line does not show

Don’t you think that Franklin wouldn’t love to toss a log on CTG’s misery fire?

Think you are right that we have the O to win out, but it will be a wild ride with this defense that has been on a milk carton all season.

Taking the fam up the road to watch AM remove two Gaytors from the top of the record books in Nashville Saturday. Will be nice to witness a little history being made while watching Vandy be shown that they are still Vandy!

Franklin is still a slimy little turd and I won't be able to stomach his mouth running on the local sports talk radio if Vandy pulls this one out.

D needs to wake up! O can hang 50 on this beat up Vandy D.

Great post yankeedawg, offense should be fine if our o line remembers how to block. We have the offense to keep us in the game with anyone.

Have a feeling our d will make vandy look better than what they are, is what it is until changes are made.

Dawgs should be heading to jax with a W.

Do we consider it a moral victory for our D if we hold Vandy to around 34 points?

Believe Mason will be used very similar to McIlroy at BAMA a few years ago. He doesn't have the arm strength of AM but good enough and accurate enough to "manage" all the talent around him. Imo, he doesn't have the capability to take over a game like AM can but with his surrounding cast, he won't have to OR be asked to.

Vandy....ZERO faith in our D, but their D is just as bad and even crippled, our O is better than their O.

If ST's play decently and few penalties, we should win by 7-10 imo.
