Sometimes a man-crush clouds one's vision of reality I guess.

Edit: Especially the reality that cheaters will sometimes create the ILLUSION of fearlessness. The cheater part got left out of the article, I noticed - cloudy vision.

thriller, read the article and many of the comments. Feel that I have to pass this along.

Early this morning, on the first edition of ESPN, the commentators were briefly going over the games this weekend.

They showed Wisconsin their rating and their logo etc.

This weeks opponent Ohio State . . . . a life size photo of Urban Meyer. Not the Ohio State logo, URBAN MEYER.

We have reached the depths, ESPN and their marketing will be the downfall of everything good in college football.

Here is hoping that FOX and CBS will recognize the opportunity that exists to give M&M a run for what else . . . . . MONEY.

Say it again. This weeks reporting carried stories of empty seats in college stadiums. Many made it sound like "just" the student sections. Bullspit.

Watching the games in comfort on wide screen televsions, close to the refrigerator will empty many more seats. M&M love it. Spent many years traveling to and from Sanford Stadium, those memories are with me to this day. I still get very excited on game day, it however is not the same excitement that I felt when traveling to Athens.

URBAN MEYER, psycho, many in the State of Florida understand (now).

Thanks for the article thriller, I know where your heart is my Brother.

It's a sad day, Buc, because you are right. In another unrelated article, I saw that EA Sports has discontinued their NCAA Football game series. Not that it matters that much to me personally, since I don't play with that stuff, but that should come as an interesting sign of things to come. It was a game that featured the major schools, and apparently the "likeness" of college players (that's a LOT of likenesses!).

EA knows that the pie is soon going to have to be shared with players. College football isn't like the NFL, with only 32 teams and 53 man rosters. There are over 120 teams with 85 man rosters, most of whom are completely anonymous and may never play a snap except in garbage time. So how do you divide THAT?? So rather than even go there, EA decided to punt - after all, they have other avenue$ for revenue.

But what about college football FANS?! Like I said, I don't play that game, but that's NOT THE POINT. The point is that someone out there has now had one aspect of their enjoyment of college football REMOVED. Removal of that which we treasure is a slippery slope. Here we go.
