Has this coaching staff turned the corner? Good question. I will answer that on or around November 2nd after we play the gaytors.
Now a breather then LSwho and Mettenberger. He was lighting it up against UAB.

ogredawg wrote: Like I said Nice Win. We are back in the hunt. We must play good fundamental football from now on. Great calls by the coaches in this game. Bobo did go conservative and it bit him in the ass and he stopped right quick. Nice to play to WIN for a change and not to lose like past years.

ogredawg, both of us know that Zach Mettenberger is going to be a better quarterback because of Cam Cameron. Les Miles knew that he had a quarterback that could move his football team down the field.
Takes me to this . . . . Auburn starting quarterback, LSU starting quarterback, might be that those in charge in Athens know a "little" something about quarterbacks. Would never know that when listening to some of the posts on this board and others.
When LSU arrives in Athens, they will not see what many expected to see when so many on our "starting" defense were "puppies".
Over the years have read many times when posters/members always wanted to talk about one or two years in the future. Our future is right now, we play with what we have and then . . . . we, you and I and others will know exactly what is needed the next recruiting cycle. Has been discussed on this board, this season.
Our football team has not been run like others that win. Believe that the "light" went on and now we are moving forward. Read so many posts from folks that don't have a clue about next year or two or three years down the road. Want to talk about a game or games. That too is understandable, some think that change only happens with personnel changes.
Feel sure that there will be some chatter on this subject at some point. Those that shy away from that should continue to read and not participate.
Win today set Steve Spurrier back a long way. We continue to build our two lines, we will compete with many. Already have had some folks say that I am too "high" on the win today. Not from this board. Anyone that thinks beating South Carolina in Athens was small and it was not a tea leaf reading of things to come . . . . OK.
One more thing . . . . as always. ogredawg, Florida has an awesome defense. Awesome in some areas. Looking forward to JAX and their coach that said he would take care of Georgia, said that over the last recruting cycle. Florida saw the game today, some friends of mine, did not have to say anything. Shaking their heads. Coaches have to be careful with their words, sometimes like posters on this board . . . . come back to bite you. I said that.

My voice is about gone and I'm dirty too. It was a hot, Muggy day in the Classic City but I don't think I could be any happier. I just witnessed one of the most satisfying victories in my Dawg long life! This was a HUGE WIN folks!
Now, it don't mean squat come tomorrow or next Sat. or the Sat. after that when North Texas comes looking for an upset but it sure was CRUCIAL in the race for the GEORGIA Dome.
Our backs were firmly against the wall & So. Carolina could've buried us but we came out & we played hard & we took the fight to them. I am so thankful OUR TEAM avoided the pending doomsday among Bulldog nation by beating the team of the coach we love to hate.
Enjoy this much needed victory Duck and all my Dawg loving friends! Savor it cause it's Ssswwweeeeet!
Ain't nothin finer in the land than being a Georgia Bulldog on a Saturday night after whipping Steve Spurrier's @as!
