In another thread on this site there was conversation about one of our players and him stepping outside the law.
Too often in reporting circles everyone in the public's eye don't get the same or entire story.
For example the University of Florida football player does not get the same press as those of us outside his particular area. Must say Orlando and JAX carried the entire story. Many around Gainesville did not.
Antonio Morrison, expected to be the starting Middle Linebacker for the gators this season. Below are a couple of paragraphs I picked up from ESPN that laid out a different "overall" presentation than did those in Florida that cover the gators.
I hate it when we (UGA) step outside the lines and with our past reputation, get blasted. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Supposedly Muschamp will take care of this internally. Will be the end of the issue as far as the public being informed. Folks, this is the way that Urban Meyer handled things . . . . internally. Also the reason that he no longer coaches in Gainesville . . . . lost control.
From ESPN.
According to the GPD report, a group of men skipped to the front of the line and one man asked Al Ajlani about admission prices. When told he would have to pay full price, the report stated the man became irate and began screaming at Al Ajlani.
"Don't you know who I am?" the report states the man yelled. "I am a UF football player! I am Antonio!"
According to the report, Al Ajlani looked back at the man and the man began punching Al Ajlani in the head. Al Ajlani told police he pushed a security barricade at the attacker in self-defense, and then the attacker and his friends fled across the street, got into a white vehicle, and fled the scene.
The report also states that Al Ajlani said the incident was being recorded on a cellphone belonging to one of the attacker's friends. Al Ajlani had visible swelling in his head, the report states, but refused EMS services.
Edit: Guess we can draw our own conclusions about the player in the article below. Loved hanging with Antonio. Sorry folks, but "Birds of a feather stick together". To hell with this talk about these players being so "young". Grow the hell up. Some interesting posts to the article.
