What If AM Gets Hurt . . . . WTF

I didn't watch much of clemson last year, because I am not a big fan of the acc in general, but the few games I did watch, there defense gives up a lot of points. On the flip side, there offense generally scores a lot to off set that.

I agree that we have to establish the running game. With that being said, they don't defend the passing game very well either. Should be a good day for the offense. No stupid penalties or turnovers, and i believe we will light up the scoreboard.

The little I remember about seeing Boyd, very good at creating on the scramble. Elusive, broken play specialist. Also, remember seeing them run quite a bit of screens. Have some speedy receivers that they want the ball to quickly in space. Boyd did stuggle in passing in the pocket. Containment is going to be a big factor. Clemson wants to set the edge and get outside the tackles offensively which is a little different than we generally see in the SEC. Also, a big play offense. Hate the saying of a bend don't break defense, but we really need to have that mindset. They are going to hit some plays. We have to make sure we keep those plays in front of us. Might give up some yardage, but keep them out of the end zone and force another snap. Make them try to score on 10+ play drives, and eliminate the quick scores.

We have great speed. Clemson does as well. We have to be more physical because we should be. WR's tend to slow down a little after getting the piss knocked out of them.

Looks like Grantham and company have that "piss knocker" creating havoc in Athens as we speak. You and I both commented on Tray a long time back.

This kind of defensive play sure takes me back to Erk.

Believe Clemson is going to see a lot of JHC "floating" around using some of the skills he has picked up since his time in Athens.

Really hard for me to believe that Clemson will stop AM and company.

My hope is that we can leave Clemson with a win and show very little of what the "total" package is.

The times that I saw Clemsum last year reminded me of the pick up football games we used to play on Sunday afternoons, take off and run deep and if you don't get open I'll just run til they catch me. To win UGA has to play offensively sound football, keep the ball away from Clemsum, have fewer three and outs and score TD's, and defensively get hands on Boyd every play,hurry his decision making, and hit with authority,make 'em think about the last time they got hit. Let em know you did'nt come just to play the game but to win it. GO DAWGS!!!!!!

Like the power football against Clemson. I would love to see quick screens out in the flat and let our play markers make plays. That is one area that I think AM could improve in seems like last year we had trouble with that not sure if we were to slow developing or he's tiling his hand somehow but many times last year the defender was there at the same time as the ball. Another thought how bout some triple option?

ACC is a soft league.

Simple for me:

1. be very physical
2. get after Boyd with containment.....remember the UF defensive gameplan?? REPEAT IT!!
3. not worried about our offense.....ACC doesn't play D (except FSU)....we can score on anybody....s/b north of 40 if we don't shoot ourselves in the foot with penalties (per AD5)

I was at The Game last time we opened at Clemson. I remember Hank williams JR. played the night before the game at clemson and we woke up Hungover the morning of the game having slept in back of a truck. I also remember it was over 100 degrees that game SO HOT people were passing out in the stands and paramedics had there hands full. But CMR and the DAWGS went in and KICKED them in the Teeth not sure but I think we beat um 30 something to 3, I think it will be closer this time But I expect us to win again. We must manhandle them and RUN it down there throats as passing games take more time to develope. I hope our D is ready. But if we RUN we win cause we will control the Game. GO DAWGS!!!
