What If AM Gets Hurt . . . . WTF

11 years 7 months ago - 11 years 7 months ago #52096 by Buc
Seems every, maybe I should say a lot of the boards and media outlets that I visit, post the same question, over and over.

What if AM gets hurt? Actually it is pretty simple, Mason will take over.

Why is it that all of the media giants want to ask "if AM gets hurt".

Allow me this . . . . What if every other team in the SEC has their quarterback get banged up?

Is there any particular reason that the "talking heads" keep asking the same question over and over?

Let me say this again . . . . If AM gets hurt, Hutson Mason will step in and do a fine job.

If the other SEC teams, such as Texas A&M lose their quarterback, what will they do?

Do they have a Hutson Mason? Don't be stupid . . . . stop, look and listen.

Any of the media boys look back over the games when Auburn took chicken spit shots at AM. Most mortals would have never played again, or played at a lesser level.

Did any of the folks asking the same question see the hit that AM took in the SECCG in Atlanta?

To go along with that . . . . AM is not the only football player that Georgia has. Wake up idiots, get closer to football than looking for clicks. Georgia seems to have figured out how the game of football works. Remember a couple of years back when the media was all over AM's butt, hang on, he is much different than those of you that publish that bs. He takes those hits and rises to play again. Your coverage of AM only shows just how shallow many of you are. AJC for the most part.

Edit: AM threatens to run the football this year, break out your (started to say pens) . . . . Get your fingers ready to hit the keys and say . . . . "I told you so". Cox Corp, need to look over your crop of cub reporters . . . . they don't have it. Thoughts of Bisher and Outlar remind some of us that once upon a time coverage, real coverage meant something. ;)

So, we go into the Clemson game, and some of you that post should be willing to lay a game plan out that brings the victory home for the Red and Black . . right? If you don't have a clue, say that. If you have winning thoughts, place it here. Real easy to give reasons as to why we won or lost, after the game has been played.

I will bet that there will be less than ten posts to this question concerning the Clemson game. Posts don't count if you dance around, want some high caliber football talk. Injuries and that sort of thing, don't count, every team has those.

Let's talk football, if you are not in the game before it starts, you should not come back after the game is over and give us your knowledge. Heck, I can get that GARBAGE 100 times or so in the AJC.

I have thoughts about AM or HM playing offense. Also have thoughts about Grantham's defense. Also have thoughts about Clemson. Don't ask for my game plan if you don't have a plan. :)

AM tough as nails Buc. It would take a serious injury for him not to suit up and play.

With you on Mason. He would be starting for a lot of SEC Teams right now. Hope for a lot of big leads so Mason gets a lot of snaps this year. If anything does happen to AM we will be just fine.

ogredawg, we had a conversation similar to this not long ago. Will Georgia function as well without AM as we would with him, I doubt it. Players get used to lining up with each other, you know that well. You played.

Take our starting center out of the lineup in the middle of a game, you and I both know that would or could be hard to overcome.

I really like all of the cross training that I hear the players talking about during their interviews. That was not the case in Athens just a short time ago. To the extent it is happening in Athens today. JHC would have played every down for Georgia prior to Grantham, no doubt in my mind. I also believe JHC's training under Grantham will serve him well at the next level, and that will happen. JHC will also serve UGA well this season, going to be spectacular.

If anything happens to AM (hope it does not and he has a record setting year) HM will come in and make it "his" offense. No doubt in my mind about it.

JHC is something special. Along with Jenkins, Drew, Wilson, Mathews et al this Defense will suprise many many people this year.

xactly right. AM is a special talent, but everyone is replaceable. Hear nothing but good things about Mason, and he has looked sharp in the little action I have seen him. Very mechanically sound, probably more so than AM IMO throwing the football.

We talk a lot about competition on this board. I have heard the o-line is still competing to set the final starting spots. So we have all 5 starters returning, and now they are actually having to earn the position all over again... Love it. Kudos to CWF. That is exactly what needs to be happening. Seems like a lot of young men are stepping up, and want some quality time up front. I know we have a few injured, but seems to actually be an open compeition.

Ogre, game plan for clemson. Real simple, stop the read option, and keep Boyd in the pocket. Do those 2 things and I think we will all be happy about the end result. Penalties will also be a big factor. Read Option, Containment, and Discipline. Those are my 3 keys for clemson.

GO DAWGS
