Guys and gals I believe the "D" has a chance to be very good this year and for the next few years if only we get a couple of folks to come our way. I wont go into naming them because we all know who they are and have been talking about them for months now. My question is how good will UGA's "D" be if we miss out on these parts of the puzzle we need to shore up the middle and stop the run, are we going to be able to "coach em up' and find the right people already here. What do you think?

growl, one thing that I feel really good about. When Shaq Wiggins made the final commitment today or yesterday that he is all in for UGA, changed the way football will be looked at . . . . for UGA.

I have a friend that understands pro football better than I could ever hope to. Friend said to me that SW is as close to Deion Sanders that he has ever seen. Asked him a couple of questions about speed. Brother shut me down, said this . . . . it is not about the speed it is about the position.

Took me a while to understand, sometimes seconds seem like hours.

Shaq Wiggins will go to the pros, it will also break our hearts, reason being, we have never had a shut down corner like Shaq and he will be all that from the day he steps on campus. God gave him all the tools.

When Shaq commited, it opened up our recruiting efforts. This young man is a leader. Of all the players that I wanted to see on campus, Shaq was one of the two that we had to have.

When Laremy Tunsil comes on board, we are a different team.

Guess some of you folks have seen the piece in the AJC concerning Garner and his handling (or not) of some recruits. Some things are beginning to add up.

Chris Wilson coming in as defensive line coach, maybe we see some improvement in the play up front when it comes to the run. Maybe Chris Wilson was the "missing piece" needed on the defense, maybe more than another recruit. Don't know, will find out.

Buc, I always considered Champ Bailey a shut down corner........do you think SW will be better than CB?

If SW is the next coming of Deon, I hope he has more guts to hit people than Deon had.

Great commit and pray Tunsil follows suit.

wlayton, you and I definitely agree on the "Champ". Still playing elite football for Denver after all of these years. Might have to retract the statement I made. If SW is 3/4 the player that Champ was and is, we hit the jackpot. Lots of strong armed quarterbacks that love to play pitch and catch and college football has definitely moved in that direction. You make a very good point.

You are also right on the "no hit" game plan employed by Sanders. Folks still discuss his showing at the combine, speed portion prior to entering the NFL.

After all of the touch and go with with Shaq Wiggins, really like the thing he said about putting an end to the recruiting and allowing another young player step up and get a scholarship. Leadership is a beautiful thing.

Tunsil . . . . :)
