Speaking on fairness, could not resist posting this clip. Was going to post this in the Members Only section, however, like the right arm on the subject in this clip . . . . :)

Buc wrote: Looking forward to the game in Orlando, Section 109 behind the Georgia bench. Hope that our guys go in there and play the way they did against Alabama. Understand we gave up a lot of yardage, still, they played their butts off. Still having those feelings of pride.

Below is a clip from Nick Saban. Like him or hate him, shows our players, coaches and university a ton of respect. Saban knew his team had just gone through a battle.

One more thing, I sometimes wonder what some of the folks that post on the other boards, don't see it very much here, are thinking when they continue to bring up the issue of quarterback play on our team. Some out there think that because you are "all that" in high school, it translates to being a automatic starter in college. Sorry, crawls up my bad side when I read some of the ridiculous statements coming from those that "think" they understand football. Maybe some of you feel the same way about the lack of knowledge. If AM returns, it will be the single biggest blessing the incoming quarterback could receive. Don't rule out Faton Bauta, kid is going to play between the Hedges, whether offense or defense. Anyway, clip below. Often get sidetracked, comes with age.

Saban is right about the BCS, and you are right, Buc, about AM.

BTW, speaking of "fairness" about us not playing in a BCS game -

forget for a moment that we're talking about UGA. Let's just say we're talking about ANY team from a major conference that came within 4 yards and ONE play from playing for a national championship. I agree with Saban and would say that it's not fair to COLLEGE FOOTBALL FANS that a team that came that close won't be in a BCS game, whoever they are. I just can't get too jacked up to watch Florida play Louisville, but even less so to watch Florida State kill Northern Illinois. I'd rather watch croquet.

thriller, could not agree more. Have some of the same thoughts that you have, regardless of who is playing.

NCAA is and has been out in left field for many years.

Going to keep my eyes open when we move into the playoffs, whether 4 or whatever. See who and how folks that determine those that are allowed to play in the playoffs. There is great dislike (don't like using the word hate) when the SEC is mentioned.

At a gathering of folks this weekend, party time you know, and one of my good friends and his wife were the entertaining guest. Great party and there was some serious football talk being exchanged between the host and myself. Bud (first name) is a huge Ohio State supporter, and I do mean supporter. The folks in Ohio and their followers around the country believe that Urban Meyer is going to take them to the National Championship. When I say believe, Bud said there is no room for doubt. They believe Ohio State will be the National Champions in two years.

Wisconsin ex-coach saw the handwriting on the wall and pulled out of the Big. Don't think he could stand the smell of Urban Meyer in the same conference. Media will be all over Ohio State and every win that they post, letting us know that Ohio State is all that. One thing they don't understand, Urban Meyer will fool no one in the SEC if he ever makes it back to the National Championship Game. They don't want to accept the fact that the SEC had figured Urban's tactics out, therefore it was time for him to leave, illness and all and go to the Big.

Feel strongly about Alabama beating Notre Dame in a convincing fashion.

Oops, there I go again. Can't help it, love SEC Football and of course my/our Dawgs. :)

Do I believe that Nebraska is a better football team than Georgia? No. Do I think it is possible for Nebraska to beat Georgia in Orlando? Yes.

The thing that scares me the most about this game is the number of athletes leaving UGA for the NFL and just how focused they will be on Janurary 1, 2013.

Most of you have seen this, never hurts to take another look . . . . :)

Buc, other than the concerns over many going pro and might not be focused and/or they may play cautuously to avoid injury that you mentioned, for me it simply comes down to whether the Dawgs are disappointed about not going to a BCS bowl and therefore could care less..... or are they royally ticked off and want to put a serious beating on Neb to make a big statement to the powers at be.

Hopefully it's the latter.

Buc, I think Georgia has something to prove. They think they belong in the national title game - well PROVE it, Dawgs. Also, going in ranked 7 and two teams above them are GUARANTEED to lose - win and you are top 5. Not a national championship - but not chopped liver either. Lose, and . . . well . . . we're back to 0-2 over a 2 game stretch and having to wait until August 31 to get the stink off, and having to start out with Climpsn - no pushover. Well, one way to say it . . .

Win, baby . . . just WIN.

I'm picking UGA 37 - 'Huskers 24
