What Is Your Opinion?

Different messages have been laid out for us to see concerning Richt's attitude and way of coaching. Have heard and read where Richt can be and is on occasion in a players ear about football. Quite frankly that is not something that we need to know. Our main concerns should be the heath of our programs at Georgia.

Greg McGarity and Mark Richt are close, it appears that they are on the same track.

I truly believe that was not the case when our previous Athletic Director was in town. I am one of those that believe all parts have to work together or the outcome is never suitable. Something like taking care of ones automobile. Different things have to be done to make the engine run smooth to get total performance.

When I now look at McGarity/Richt I see a recent adjustment, a needed adjustment that appears to have us getting closer to peak performance.

If we are to judge performance, like it or not, we have to look at Alabama, it is there for all to see. In the Atlanta Dome, Georgia showed that this train is coming down the tracks, Alabama knows that first hand. Might be a year or more, but Georgia football is not the same as it was a few short years ago. Different coaching staff with different methods of getting our team ready for Saturdays in Athens.

Need to shut the Chuck Oliver's out of football commentary where Georgia is concerned. Bum never had a positive thought pass through that area we refer to as a brain.

He mentioned that his callers were the ones asking the pointed questions, don't doubt that for a minute. There is however a time and place when stupidity should not get center stage.

Chuck Oliver just got his butt whipped without a lick being passed. Mark Richt used words to throw the knockout punch. Good on you Mark Richt, many of us out here appreciate what you did. (Secretly wish Richt had landed just one . . . . know what I mean?) I said secretly . . . .

That jack leg only got half of what he deserved, but kudos to Richt for giving it to him. The questioning was asinine. AM and the entire team showed up and played their butts off.

I like that he got fired up over the question. The fact remains that after 11 years under CMR, UGA has a record of not winning "Big Stage" games. However this particular game did not have the same feeling as previous games. Yes, we lost. We battled for 4 quarters against an admittedly better team and had a chance to win at the end. Everyone knew UGA would have to play a near perfect game to win. That question has needed to be asked. Not after this game though.

I wished CMR would have stayed in the presser, responded exactly as he did, and every time that line of questioning came up response would have been, "Asked and answered, next question".

TN Dawg that is a valid point you make about the 11 years under Rict and the "Big Stage". Almost to a person on this board since I have been a part, have been on both sides of the fence. I know that I have, and might go there again.

Trying not to be too long, this has been said before. It took some time for Mark Richt to either figure out or whatever it was to understand what has to be done, done on a regular basis. Believe that day of understanding came with the departure of WM and the hiring of McGarity. Both were close in arriving and departing.

No doubt in my mind that Mark Richt had a lot of "stuff" going on in his head. Richt made some hard choices, but many of the choices he had to make were because of his own doing. I think we are watching Mark Richt along with Georgia Football move up the ladder. Richt understands what is facing him, believe we will get his best effort along with some of the recent hires that in my opinion have made a huge difference.

We grew some from the LSU game to the Alabama game. I saw a different team, coach and fan base both before and after our loss to Alabama.

We open with Clemson, then South Carolina, two teams that I am excited about playing. Crossed fingers again that AM stays another year. If so, the two teams just mentioned will have plenty to worry about. Our offense could be a scoring machine. This group moved the ball on Alabama, another year under the players belts, could be totally awesome.

Nebraska game could be a good time to work on some things. I expect that to happen. Would bet that we will see many of our players for next season getting a lot of playing time. Makes sense to me. Have to get ready for 2013 and a return to Atlanta.

Saban even said after the game that he thought the DAWGS deserved a BCS bowl. He knows he was in a game tonight.
