Mark Richt's press conference has been discussed on a lot of boards, some opinions have been given in our Members Only Section. Know that a lot of folks come to this Board and am wondering what many think of the stand that Mark Richt took with Chuck Oliver, the self appointed "King".
Weasels like Chuck Oliver are in the business of "spouting off" and if they can find a way, they will wreck what you stand for. This clown would like nothing better than to see not only his ratings go up, but heads to fall.
Mark Richt's stock went up 100% with Buc. When Richt returned to the press conference room, he was not only upset, he had a look on his face that said he was ready for a battle. This was not a show on Richt's part, he had a sniveling piece of crap step out too far, meaning he was messing with family. These young players for Georgia know that Richt cares for them, it goes further than football. Sometimes it seems Richt takes the closeness too far, but that is Mark Richt.
Earlier in the season, it was mentioned on this board that Richt had changed. He was not letting things get by him without some type of response. Take this as tongue in cheek . . . . old farts tend to get a bit crabby when age moves in. Maybe that is what I like about Richt's attitude change, he is fast becoming one of the old fart crabby bunch. Sure reminded me of Todd Grantham, and I have always said I like Grantham's aggressiveness.
You can bet your last dollar that Chuck Oliver will use this for all it is worth on his air time. Never have said this, or if I have, not many times. I hope that he gets canned. Put on the street. This Auburn graduate should not be allowed to have press credentials allowing him to the inner parts of Georgia Football. Chuck Oliver is betting that his phones will be lit up Monday morning. Not good.
Good on you Mark Richt, keep moving forward, the best is yet to come in Athens. Just a few pieces and as averagedawg said, we are going back to Atlanta in 2013. I agree.
