Alabama/Georgia

Alabama/Georgia was created by Buc
Tuesday night, coming up on the time to make a prediction.

From where I sit, we beat Alabama by 1 to 3 points. Repeating what I have said earlier in the week.

Making no excuses, do not see a reason that our Dawgs cannot walk away with a victory in Atlanta.

I believe that the young men that came back did so for a reason.

Comes down to eleven young men on each side, many know each other by their first name.

What separates these two teams, not sure I can answer that, nor do I need to. That will be settled on the field.

One team comes out of this battle to face up with Notre Dame.

Believe this, Notre Dame has to watch both, hard to game plan for one or the other.

I have reason to believe that the young men leaving UGA will leave after they are National Champions.

At this point, time to turn the media BS off. We have watched both teams in 2012, some of us understand.

If the players on the UGA Football Team doubt that those of us out here have doubts, NOT TRUE.

Do not care if you are Muschamp on the stump trying to convince anyone that your team is all that, keep preaching brother man, we will see you again in JAX 2013, and the results will be the same.

I have been around Georgia football for many years. This is the best defensive team that I have seen since the early 1950’s. Yes, I love Erk.

Those that go into this game with doubts, understandable. Media will only get stronger as the week moves along. Folks in Alabama think that the game has been played and they are on their way to Miami. Sorry Charley!

For those of you that come to this board and rail against UGA and our players and coaches, GO TO HELL.

This group of players have played their butts off, get the hell out of your comfort zone and look past your nose.

Buc, great post. I've stayed away from posting very much because I just wanted to sit back watch, listen, and enjoy where we are at this point and try not to analyze every minute detail about our Dawgs. I along with many others on this board would not have predicted this after the chickens clawed us to death.

It’s going to be a huge battle even if the Dawgs show up in Atlanta to win. Our team, no regrets attitude. If they show up conservative, the Tide goes to the BCS.

It’s going to be a battle at the line and in the flats. Turnovers will determine the outcome IMHO.

I do not see UA passing deep very often. Our safeties have proven to be too much of a threat for all of that. Jarvis should be covered up so the others will have an opportunity to make some huge plays.

In my mind, I do not see Gurley and Marshall having a huge night for some reason. I don’t know why I feel that but I do. Maybe it’s the youth factor in a major setting against a good team with so much on the line guiding those thoughts. And maybe it’s pessimism on my part.

Bobo will have to trash the one page post-it note “play book” he’s been carring for so many years. Seems to me he lost it about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Hope he doesn’t find it again because I do like what I’ve seen on that issue.

Kicking field goals. Well my stomach just hit the floor when I thought of that. I just hope it doesn’t come that and that’s all I’m going to say.

I think Murray should have a good night. I just hope that creates points on the scoreboard.

The receiving corps may be the make or break for us. Dropped passes will absolutely kill us. Our tightends will have a huge night if they catch and hold on to the pigskin.

I know I’m bringing up pessimistic points here but I feel these will determine a WIN or LOST for the DAWGS.

If they go to play 120% with no TOs,
DAWG 24 - TIDE 20
GO DAWGS

Really good read gillette.

Do believe that both teams will be ball hawking (stripping).

My thoughts on the two young running backs . . . . Both came in and surprised us with their play. Understand your thoughts on not gaining much yardage. Alabama is tough to run on. Think these two young men have ice water running through their veins.

Another player or two that can cause serious problems for Alabama . . . . #26, Malcolm Mitchell has to be covered deep all game. Jay Rome really liked scoring against GT. Puts a good taste in his mouth and positive thoughts in his head.

AM knows that every doubtful eye will be on him in Atlanta. I say good on you young fellow for locking youself up and working on what can and needs to be done to leave Atlanta with a victory. Crossed fingers that AM returns for the 2013 season.

Georgia is a very good football team. Me thinks. :)

Great posts, very enjoyable analysis.

In my mind it is a more simple analogy.

If our OL can block them.....we will beat them.

We match up well everywhere else imo.

One thing that I draw from reading Alabama blogs. They (Alabama) are taking the quotes made by our DB's and posting them for their players to mull over.

There is a story there, a sign, something I did not expect from such a powerhouse.

The big, bad Crimson Tide having to hang quotes for players to read and get jacked up about. Does this Tide team need extra motivation to play an inferior team in Atlanta? Seems most on the otherside of the Chattahoochee think this game is over in the first 15 minutes.

Maybe the folks responsible for posting the quotes and are directly involved with the Alabama team know that the game in Atlanta against Georgia is no cakewalk.

Just thinking out loud. :)
