Good points, Buc.
Interesting discussion on the radio this morning on the way in. The question was simple, and the answers were all over the board: which of the currently undefeated teams would UGA have the best chance to beat? Worst?
My answer is that I think we would beat Notre Dame - they play the same brand of football we are used to seeing, and their offense isn't scary. They've also won some games they shouldn't have won against opponents they should have killed.
Worst chance of beating? Oregon. One caller suggested that Oregon is this year's Hawaii. I disagree completely. Given time, I think most D coordinators will relegate that offense to the history books, but that hasn't happened yet. For now, Oregon cannot be beaten by any team.
K-State is the coin-toss for me. A running QB can kill us, but seemingly only the ones we don't EXPECT to run, like the kid from Buffalo. Remember Missouri? Franklin did nothing. I think if we spied him or just loaded the box, we'd win.

There is always a chance.
Wartdawg, I would be reluctant to bet on this game.
One thing that I have noticed my friend, Saban's defensive backs are getting it handed to them on occasion. (Saban's supposed specialty) If . . . . if we can afford AM some time in the pocket, and IF AM does not have a serious case of the jitters, game could be interesting. Like the fact that if we stay injury safe the next two games, Bama has to game plan for Gurshall. Any improvement in the offensive line and this game is interesting.
Offensive line, keep building coaches, year after year. All starts there.

thriller, great post.
Will say this though about Oregon. A SEC defense (or any great D for that matter) can TOTALLY disrupt Oregon's offense. Look no further than a couple of years ago when AU killed them and that high powered offense. Fairley and the whole D-line LIVED in Oregon's backfield and their QB didn't have a clue what to do. They couldn't block AU's front....no contest. Hard to score when you are running for your life or are on your back.
Soooo, imo, a great D can beat Oregon and you know they don't play any D, they can be scored on easily.

wlayton, Stanford/Oregon will be a good game to watch. Stanford does have a really good defense in my opinion. This one could come down to a "coaching matchup".
