Really proud to see one of our most unheralded players do what he has been asked to do since he arrived in Athens, Rhett McGowan. Stepped up again when asked. Sure hands, team player.
While I am passing around high fives . . . . Garrison Smith, all over the field. Sure hope he returns next season. Bad dude.
YES Buc......really like the way McGowan plays and he makes catching punts look SO simple. He's always in perfect body position when catching punts....very solid imo. GS played a great game.....some of the "pups" are stepping up, bodes well for next season too.
Another thing I really liked and believe most here noticed and liked as well......up 30-10 and we didn't sit on the lead. They were still aggressive, passing/running and drove it right down the field and scored again.....like that....putting the game decidedly away. They didn't "sub and sit" on the ball until about 7 minutes to go.
Agree completely with you and Buc, WLayton.
McGowan has great hands, could be our new Bennett... Like it when a kid works hard, and gets rewarded!
I'm a little late to the party, been a busy week & weekend, catching up on all the posts today. Loved the game, especially all the passes to the TE, and RB's.
Slow start, but a great day to be a DAWG!!!
GO DAWGS!!
