Time for the excuses to stop.
This is Georgia vs Florida.
Don't give a damn about who is faster, or bigger, or records.
Bulldog Players, this is for you. Most of what will happen tomorrow is winning the one on one battles. Don't need to hear about rain, wind, kicking game, coaching. The overall BS stops. You want the game, really want the game, strap it up, whip someones ass. If you need help, good teammates can help, don't hide what you aren't capable of.
If you get your butts beat by the man that is facing you on the offensive or defensive line, you don't have to be told. The cameras that are delivering this game to us electronically don't lie or make excuses. The eye in the sky sees all and we, not some of the idiots in the booth like Verne Lundquist understand what is going on.
The DEFENSE spoke up in the off season, said that they/we are on a mission. I will personally hold each and every one of you to this . . . . "whip someones ass".
I remember well the comments after some failures by our coaching staff (not admitted to this day) that we had to get back to winning games in the fourth quarter. Mark Richt, you said it, you wanted me to believe that your latest change in coaching tactics would change fourth quarters. Tomorrow we will see just how successful you have been in this area. If our team fails in the second half, not just the fourth quarter . . . . you own that.
Looking over both teams from top to bottom, there is not reason one that Georgia cannot beat Florida in JAX . . . . regardless of the weather.
They are 7-0, we are 6-1. Before this season (2012) folks in Florida had all but written the JAX game off as a loss. Seven games later, the gators feel like the Dawgs are in the way and have to step over us to get to the fight. Yes I said that. The gators are totally confident that we are only a pimple on someones butt.
Grantham, no one, not anyone has thrown more support to you than Buc. You play the 3/4 tomorrow and have to adjust at halftime because the 3/4 is getting eaten alive . . . . you need to look for employment. Against Florida, you as the defensive coordinator need to stop the run, might look at a four man line.
Couple more things. Ogletree, watched your play since returning from your second disgression. If you are going to tackle after the running back has gained five yards, might be you are better suited to play in the defensive backfield. I said that.
Jenkins. I have watched much of the Kentucky game a couple of times. Their center pushed you around like a rag doll. Not the first team to do that, watched you give up against South Carolina. Trying to avoid injury so you can go to the NFL injury free? Had every reason to believe that you wanted to be special, good man told me that you were a kick ass in Mississippi.
Rambo. Many of us know that the reason you did not leave Athens for the NFL, probably a draft choice in the 5th round. Fact. You puppy dog, (Dawg means a special thing to me) are all about yourself. Have another "cookie" on me, and sadly your high school coach falling in line with your BS.
Shawn Williams . . . . thank you Brother. Truth is your Dad cared enough to love you and teach you RESPECT. Some or one in the same backfield still does not have a grip on that. Call it like it truly is, and I believe you did that. Sometimes we want those that are close to us (teammates) to step up. I think tomorrow Malcolm Mitchell and the receiving corps will do just that.
Last thing . . . . if we have any bad asses on this team, step up tomorrow. If I see any intimidation, it will drive me nuts. Don't be intimidated like your head coach was for example by Urban Meyer, and most years Steve Spurrier.
Brothers, this team has the talent, it will come down to this . . . . beating the gators in spite of . . . . our soft head coach. Good man. Nice bank roll.
