This coaching staff and this team has been exposed for exactly what it is a bunch of pretenders.

I do not see how anyone on this board can continue to support our current coaching staff and I mean all of them. I will tell you why.

This was game #6 we had 5 games to scout and watch film of Carolina. Spurrier had the same amount time. We were not prepared at all. not one bit. down 21-0 with 8 minutes gone in the first qtr.

3rd and 17 start of the 2nd down 21 and we hand the ball of to the TB and we were not really backed up. Throw it downfield to make something happen.

The offense quit in the 2nd qtr when 4th and goal from the 2 we line up in the gun and throw the ball to the 1 yard line. Did not make any attempt to throw it into the endzone down by 21 even if it was not open.....we FAILED to even TRY.

The defense quit with 8:30 to go in the 3rd when Lattimore punched it in from the one. The D stood around looking with hands on hips after he scored.....the look of defeat on thier faces. Game was over right then and there. Beat deep because the safety was worried about the TE for the 1st down and was moving up instead of helping deep......and Rambo getting beat deep on that play showed that 4 games off will kill you.

No excuses, no kool aid and no islands. This team was not prepared mentally or physically to play this game and it showed. Now who do we blame for them not being prepared, The players, the cheerleaders, the AD, cocky the chicken?

Put the blame squarely where it belongs......coaching. This program stinks from the head down. I refuse to defend CMR, CTG, CWF, CSL and the rest.

No excuse for the way this team played tonight. We were dominated from the start and both sides of the ball.

Now does anyone not believe that Connor Shaw is for real and is as tough as they come. I would trade AM for him in a heartbeat.

We will have some that will say well Carolina will get beat maybe twice and we can still win the SEC east if we win out. I say BS. We "backed" into the SEC East title last year and it would really suck to "back" into it again, but I would expect that from a bunch of "pretenders".

I started a thread about our destiny and it looks like our destiny is to continue to be a second tier SEC team play in the CapOne/Outback or Chick Filet Bowls, and continue to play second fiddle to Saban and the Tide, but what hurts the most is we are now back to playing second fiddle to Spurrier and Carolina. What will be next second fiddle to Muschamp and the gaytors. Seems so.

End rant.........

You're right Wartdawg, it won't happen. We'll be treated to excuses, anecdotes, cutesy PR statements like "we're just doing the doggone best we can do right now to win games." They'll continue to ride the Richt horse so long as he keeps pulling down top recruiting classes and finishing 10-2 and makes it to the 2000-whatever Toilet Bowl game.

This game tonight exemplifies Mark Richt's legacy at UGA, and that is a complete failure to coach up his players to play in the big games. Period. Never have I been so embarrassed of a team's performance, from top to damn bottom as I am this team tonight. I've never seen an SEC team that has had year-after-year of wall-to-wall talent that has been continually pissed away as I have this UGA program under Richt. This season's schedule was a made-to-order trip to Atlanta for this Bulldog team, and yet, here we are in another big game that will separate the wheat from the chaff in college football and here we are again blowing it in grand fashion on a national platform before a national audience.

To say this performance tonight was an abysmal disgrace would be too good of a compliment. There was a complete failure at every level on this team; from coaches to players. I've been saying this for a while, but Aaron Murray is not the QB to take this team to the promised land. I'm done with him. To admit to ESPN that he's been having nightmares about being hit by Jadeveon Clowney tells me all I need to know about Aaron Murray. Move on son, go finish your grad degree in psychology and leave the playing to the men.

And all this talk about his maturity and his development...Excuse me, but let's shelf the BS and all face reality - Murray doesn't have all the pieces of a top tier QB which takes teams deep in the SEC. He has some of the pieces, but some of the pieces don't make a complete puzzle. He has a million dollar arm and a 10 cents head. As a junior, I've seen Murray continuing to make the most fundamental freshman mistakes. He still cannot protect the ball, he still is terrified when he hears footsteps, he's still holding the ball far too long which is resulting in far too many negative yards on sacks, he's still forcing the ball into double and triple coverage, he still has a low trajectory on his passes which are continuing to get batted by defensive linemen resulting in interceptions off tips. Any game that Murray plays in where he does not have the clear advantage and he looks completely uncomfortable out there and tonight was no exception.

The offensive line was utterly manhandled by SC's defensive line. They weren't even a factor. For a team that was averaging UGA's offensive numbers to not even be able to punch in the ball at the goal line in four tries tells me everything I need to know about the O-line. And again, Murray continued to throw into double coverage on King.

The defensive line got no pressure whatsoever on Shaw and the entire defensive unit was biting hard on the play action. So what did SC do? They ran the play action again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. Was there any adjustment on Connor Shaw's running? No. Was there a defensive coordinator even at the stadium for UGA? It sure as hell didn't look like it from my vantage point. Where was the adjustment at the half? Do we have a coach to make adjustments in second half? No, apparently we don't. This defense that was supposedly "for real" looked completely disoriented, playing way too soft with far too many cushions.

Anyone with a brain knows that this should spell the end of the road for Richt. There has to be consequences. While I don't think there will be any immediate firings, I do think that in the end, this spectacle tonight may just be what's required to finally bring the Richt experiment to a close.

Read every post.

The bottom line for me is:

1. USC is a better football team
2. They exposed our biggest weakness, the OL ......and btw, play calling had nothing to do with it. It didn't matter what play was called, if you can't block them, it's a moot point. They DOMINATED our OL. Said earlier in the week, simple, the best OL will win the game.
3. No excuses, really nothing else to say except SOS is a great football coach.

we were dominated on BOTH sides of the ball tonight the OL was just the most glaring, and you were absolutley right about the best OL wins. The D could not stop Shaw and he did very little but what little he did exposed this defense as to what it is.....loaded with NFL talent but very little coaching of that talent......play calling had very little to do with it you are right......because we ran very few plays. 3 and outs do not win ball games and we had many of those tonight.

Now I am waiting for the happy face Friday post and the same old same old but personally I think I am done with this team and posting this year. Just tired of the same old same same old same old same old same old..........10-2 or 10-3 and getting beat by teams we should beat.....

Interesting quote i picked up off of twitter.

@SethEmerson: RT @JoshatTheState: Jadeveon Clowney says Aaron Murray was giving away snap by tapping center's hip to call for ball. Noise a huge factor.”
