Really liked how he went up and snatched that TD pass over the middle between DB's. He could be their "breakout" player this year. If so, MM could concentrate more on D.
Really on board with your post wlayton. Find myself thinking about some of the faster young men on our team, Keith Marshall for example. Sherman can and will help Marshall become faster and improve his flexibility. Same can be said for Todd Gurley (scary). Amazing how a change or two can have an overall team effect.
Seems to me that I remember you saying that your wife was or is involved with healthly improvement through flex and other means. That thought goes back a few years.
Yes, you are correct Buc. My wife was a clinical neuromuscular therapists (deep tissue stuff....kills you). When I played and traveled the country playing national racquetball, she MADE me incorporate stretching, flexiblity and deep tissue work elongating muscle to help keep from injuries. It, along with other training, also increased strength with the flexibility. She is/was very knowledgeable on the subject of increasing power and agility with stretching/elongating tissue.
Smart gal........you have such a great memory!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

We needed change at Georgia . . . . Florida, LSU, Alabama and others were leaving us in the dust. Most disappointing to me was newcomer South Carolina. Understandable that duck was/is so upset. They were making huge strides while we were seemingly lost in a fog. As long as I have been around, UGA has never had a lack of talent. Maybe not the most talented, but we had young men that played the game, and played seriously.
gillette, the more I look at what has happened, takes me back to one person and sometimes I believe he is so good at his job that it is taken for granted. McGarity did not last all of those years at Florida under Jeremy Foley if he was not competent. Like Foley and Florida or not, Jeremy Foley got the job done, check the Crystal, probably the one that Orson Charles dropped has been replaced.
This is not about Jeremy Foley directly, will say this, have mentioned it before . . . . Will Muschamp is feeling the heat, and the only person that really causes that is Jeremy Foley. He demands championships. Some of that had to rub off on McGarity in ten years of service to Florida. I like McGarity, I believe that he is a butt kicker, no excuses, get the damn job done. Believe that is what his meeting with Mark Richt consisted of, getting the job done.
I don't live in a world that is all wrapped up in feelings of being invincible. Many on this board, most on this board have said that we will not go undefeated. Undefeated in the SEC, hard row to hoe. Alabama, National Champions, had LSU spoil their undefeated record last season. There will be hurt feelings and comments on this and other boards if and when we lose a game. Human nature. Yes, I am guilty, tend to pick apart the reason that we lost the game. Takes me back to what gillette said . . . . appears that Mark Richt has stepped out and now has more than pats on the backs, we will do better next time, beginning to show an under belly that is filled with more than excuses.
Coach seems to have fire in his belly at this point. No one, not any of us ever want to be fired. If Richt had kept his "friends" on his staff, more than likely we would not have Grantham and his gang at this point, and who knows where UGA football would be right now. Personally don't think that money is the issue with Mark Richt, how much does any one person need . . . . What has happened to Mark Richt happens in the business world, often . . . . fame and fortune often come from those that we surround ourselves with. All of us know what the other side of that coin looks like, so does Mark Richt, his seat did get hot whether he or others want to admit it. This in my way of thinking is the best "all-around" team he has had, and I think I know the reason for that . . . . Mark Richt heard Greg McGarity's words and surrounded himself with folks that are cut from the same cloth as Jeremy Foley . . . . folks that play to win.

Those kind of comments from CMR gets me going. You saw a lot of this on Saturday night, they adapted to what the defense was doing, and got a couple of long series in the 3rd quarter.
It also helps that the team has seemed to buy into that very word... TEAM!!!
Very encouraged! Long season, but I do like what I am seeing.
GO DAWGS!!!

Hopefully the storm clouds will be dark by the time Vandy comes to town. Those guys will be pumped and ready to give Franklin his signature win. The schedule sets up nicely for UGA to make improvements throughout the year with out having some beast tear us apart at the seams where our deficiencies are noticeable.
I do apologize for the mid game call for Murray to be benched during the Mizzou game but I still believe he is struggling more than he should be as a Junior signal caller.
