Don't we all let them think they are?

I would love to see the DAWGS bite the tigers.

GO DAWGS!!!

VERY, VERY good point, WoodstockDawg!!! As I said in an earlier post, one of two things happened this past weekend:

1. Either the coaches are SUPER coaches, and held back EXACTLY the right amount to keep Mizzou and others guessing, while still doing JUST ENOUGH to fend off the Bulls, and we'll come out of Columbia ALL SMILES :P OR -
2. The coaches had everything installed for that game, and what you saw was what you get. We may be in for a tough time. :(

I'm one of the original whiners this week, no doubt about it. I was QUITE unhappy with what I saw on Saturday against a team that was 3-9 last year (hey, they may go 11-1 this year! Hope so!). But I LOVE MY DAWGS!!! That is our common thread here, whether we are Whiners or not . . . we LOVE our DAWGS!

I will be PLEASED AS PUNCH to look like an idiot for being such a whiner - and I'll be glad to gobble up that cheese with my Peg Leg lager on Sunday!

GATA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes it is best that some on this board don't get involved in every thread. Hard to do. Will post this and say that I have been with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a supporter and have been involved in many give and takes on the board that was once ran by Tampa Bay management. That board was discontinued a couple years back and one of the reasons for that was Buc who was also on that board had a serious fight with management.

Anyone on this board that wants to get into a "serious" discussion about Jon Gruden and his performances or lack of, feel I am the one that can fill in the blanks. It has been mentioned to Steve in private about some of my experiences on the Tampa Bay site, have never said it openly here. I do not however like name calling. That's all. :)

Thriller, you pegged it. We all do love the Dawgs.

Let me say this too. Sometimes coaches need to be called out on the carpet. Bobo himself has needed it. I couldn't stand the guy the first couple of years. But what I try to do every year is base my opinion on a coach by the current year. Speaking for last year, I thought it was Bobo's best year. I thought he did a pretty good job against Buffalo.

Would I like to see him use the TE more, sure. Were they open quite a few times Sat. Yes. I believe Buc called it, and I totally agree. Seemed AM was more worried about hitting the homerun. Looks better in the stat column.

I will say this. I am beginning to wonder if AM has trouble seeing the middle-intermediate passing game.

If we all thought alike, this would be a pretty boring board. Ogredawg, you can joke around with me. I know you are all Dawgs so I will enjoy it. World has to have optimist(sunshine pumpers) and pessimist(whiners) to balance out.

big claim to fame was winning a Super Bowl with someone else' players.

I also read what he said.. He likes Georgia running a pro-style offense that prepares players for a future in the NFL. I've yet to see him say he liked the play calling during any particular specific game.

Wartdawg, there is a lot to be said for your post. Jon Gruden is and has been for some time an "opportunist". Most see Jon Gruden on the television proving to the world that he is "all that". That is what ESPN needs to make their programming work. Gruden took over a team in Oakland that was loaded. Gruden took over a team in Tampa that was loaded, just needed a boost. Never doubt for a minute that Tampa won the Superbowl because of Monte Kiffin. Monte Kiffin took the players that Sam Wyche and Tony Dungy had assembled and got way too much credit for what he "did not do". Many stories about Jon Gruden and his absolute failures.

I have been thinking the same thing. Might be a case where his lack of height affects his vision and how quickly he can read and react to the middle.

Some are wise and some are otherwise !
